The Forever Home – Next Steps

It’s been quite a while since I’ve written a home post, and there is actually a really good reason.  Behind the scenes there have been some very exciting plans taking place which, if everything goes smoothly, will mean some very big changes to our forever home. I have mentioned before that we fell in love with the house almost immediately.  It was one of those feelings that is quite hard to  describe but the house just felt like home.  It was far from perfect but we loved it’s quirky features and traditional cottage style.  As the house had been empty for…

The Forever Home – Future Plans For Our Bedroom

I have a love/hate relationship with our bedroom.  I love the space in the room, the brick wall, the balcony with views over the garden.  I love it’s high ceiling and that it has a lovely little ensuite.  But I really hate the decor! Styling Ideas For A Woodland Themed Nursery

A few weeks ago I was still trying to decide what theme we wanted to go for with the nursery. I was spending hours browsing Pinterest looking for inspiration and found some beautiful ideas.  I managed to narrow it down to my five favourite wallpapers for the nursery, and eventually it came down to a choice of two.  Whilst one was undeniably stunning my husband and I both agreed it was a little bit too pricey and so we have decided to go for a woodland theme, aiming for a similar look to this nursery I found on Pinterest. I…

The Forever Home Tour – The Bathroom

When we first visited our house we were adamant that we would need to decorate every single room, and the bathroom was no different.  The colour scheme was not exactly to our liking. We did agree that one item did need to stay, and that was the bath.  It was beautiful (bright yellow paint aside).  It’s probably a good thing that we decided it was a keeper as due to it being cast iron I’m not sure it would have been the easiest item to remove. Apart from the bath, we weren’t too sure what look we wanted.  Our previous…

The Forever Home Tour – The Dressing Room

I started to do a little tour of our home a couple of months ago when I gave you a little nosey around the kitchen.  Due to being pregnant (and exhausted) I didn’t end up keeping up with the other rooms but hopefully, now I have a bit more energy, I’ll be able to finish what I started.  The next room to let you have a sneaky peek at is what is generally referred to in our house as “my room”.  Officially, it’s the dressing room and whilst my husband has his clothes in the wardrobe the rest of it…
