The summer has gone, and this is something that we’re just going to have to accept for now. On the bright side, we were handed a heatwave that meant we were able to dress like we do when we’re on holiday, and all of that hard work to get the bikini body of our dreams actually paid off this year, so we can’t complain too much considering.
A lot of people often see the Autumn as being the beginning of a dull rest of the year, because this is when the temperature starts to drop, and before you know it it’s winter again and you’ve got the stress of Christmas to deal with. The thing is though, it doesn’t have to be as negative or as difficult as you make it. In fact, you can transition into the Autumn without hassle, all while keeping that funky edge and flare burning bright.
Here are some ideas on how you can do that.
Always accessorise
Accessories come in all different shapes and sizes, and can be anything from the earrings you wear, to what you carry around with you all day. Watches are also a brilliant piece to add to any collection, because they not only add that subtle touch of class to any outfit, but depending on the style you go for, they can even bring out your personality. Take the Emporio Armani AR1925 for example, this piece is effortless and simple, while still attracting attention because of its beauty.
Clash colours
If you’re feeling daring, then what better way to show off your personality than by the colour that you wear. Colour clashing is something that has been around in the fashion world for a long time, and essentially consists of using blocks of colour to create a contrast and result in them clashing. This way you end up with one whole look, from many different looks. So get those Autumn shades of mustard, burgundy, teal, and amber, and mix and match until you’re happy with the final look.
Your makeup
A lot of people forget that your face has a lot to do with the clothes that you wear too, so never underestimate the power that your eyeshadow or lipstick has over an outfit. If you want to create the ideal Autumn feel, then you can never go wrong with a bold lip. Think about the red wine and deep purples tones, as well as your skin complexion, and figure out a shade that compliments you best. As the drama is in your lips, you can hang back on the heavy eye makeup and instead opt for a small wing and luscious lashes instead.
Remember that whatever you decide to wear, it’s all about being true to yourself and being in something that makes you happy. Don’t follow trends to please others – do it for you, and be as basic or as bombastic as you deem fit. As long as you have the confidence, you can get away with anything.
