Christmas is a really special time of year for our family, it’s where we all began. On a very cold, icy Christmas Eve back in 1995 a shy, slightly awkward 17 year old boy sent his best mate over to tell a 16 year old girl he liked her….and the rest is history.
That’s not to say it’s all been plain sailing, And I had to wait, and wait, and wait before my husband eventually put a ring on it. Every Christmas I would hope there would be an extra special present under the tree. It seemed fitting, we met on Christmas Eve, what could be more perfect than a Christmas proposal. I would find myself daydreaming of the engagement ring I would like.
An engagement ring doesn’t have to cost a fortune, F Hinds do a range of affordable rings that are stunning and would certainly have made me happy if I had found them wrapped up in a little square box. We all have different tastes but I like a fairly plain ring, that allows the diamond to do the talking.
This is my favourite and not too dissimilar to the ring that I eventually received thirteen years after we starting going out. He did propose on a gondola in Venice in the end so I’ll let him off for not giving me a Christmas proposal. You can see more of F Hinds range of rings here, and I think you’ll be amazed at what great prices there are for such lovely rings. I generally don’t like anything too fussy but this is so pretty I may drop a few hints, it doesn’t have to be an engagement does it?
We did however have a Christmas wedding and it was perfect, so the festive season will always be my most romantic time of the year.
