Perspective {Word Of The Week}

It’s Wednesday morning. I know I need to be in work early. I have that horrendous Year 10 class, so I need to be all set up. The deputy head will probably be sat in there too because they really are that horrible. I need to get my son to Nana’s, and drop the dogs off for their hair cut. Embracing Soft Play

I’ll be the first to admit I’ve not been the biggest fan of soft play centres. Just Being Mum {The Ordinary Moments}

Motherhood is full of amazing and wonderful moments. Starting from the day you see that second line on a pregnancy test, becoming a mum is full of excitement and terror in equal measure. Rookie Mum Mistakes {The Prompt}

The mistakes we make… When you first become a mum you know you’re not going to know it all and are bound to make some mistakes along the way. But the older my little boy gets the less I feel I know about the whole mummy world, and I’m making more mistakes than ever. The most recent one being this week. My mum gave me a leaflet advertising brunch with Peppa and George for this Thursday. Okay, not where I’d ideally like to be spending my day off but I knew my little man would love it so planned to…

Mummy Autopilot Moments

Do you ever have moments when you’re driving somewhere, and your mind wanders, and before you know it you’re half way to work before realising it’s Saturday. Or you’ve read eight pages of your book and haven’t got a clue what’s just happened, you’ve just been turning the pages. Since becoming a mum I quite often find myself going through the motions without really thinking about what I’m doing.  My brain takes a rest and lets the autopilot take over. And this is what happens when my mummy autopilot light is switched on: I tell colleagues when I’m off for a wee wee (and yes, I do…
