Some of my favourite childhood memories involve sleeping bags. My brother and I had matching ones and we had hours of entertainment with them. Sliding down the stairs in them with our cousins or putting them over our heads to play worms (a game we made up that involved catching people and guessing who it was whilst you couldn’t see as the sleeping bag was on your head!) As we got older and started to have friends over for sleepovers the sleeping bags would be wheeled out.
We were recently asked if we would like to review a Snuggle Sac for Ollie and Leila, a lovely company that features beautiful childrens bedding and furniture, and I couldn’t wait to try it out. We opted for the Navy Star design as I felt it would match his bedroom better than the others.
The Snuggle Sac arrived in its own tote bag, perfect for storing it away neatly and also for travelling. We often visit my parents caravan and it will be much easier to take this bag rather than having to take a duvet and bedding. O was so excited that the contents of the bag were for him and he couldn’t wait to see what was inside.
He wasn’t disappointed. In fact, he was over the moon with his snuggle sac and couldn’t wait for bedtime so that he could test it out.
The sac is so cosy with a fleece outer fabric, whilst the inside is 100% cotton. The side zips down to make it easy to get in and out of and the head area has a pillow compartment to make it even more comfy. O looked so cosy as he snuggled into it at bedtime. He quite often kicks his duvet off during the night but whilst in his sac he stayed covered up and warm. He loved it so much he insisted on sleeping in it for a week after it first arrived.
For me a sleeping bag is an absolute essential for a child. They’re so handy for sleepovers, for snuggling into on cold winter nights watching a movie on the couch (something I think we will be doing shortly) or just because its fun to do something a little different. O loves his Snuggle Sac and if you are looking for a children’s sleeping bag I don’t think you could find a better one.
