Open Up The Loft

If your home has a loft, then the chances are good that the space up there is simply not being utilised in the best way possible. If you simply shove things up there and never look at it again, you might want to try and reclaim that space in some way. That could mean that you simply need to declutter it, or you might even want to think about putting flooring up there and turning it into a usable space. Likewise, even just installing loft ladders can help you to save a lot of space in the loft, so that is something to think about too. All in all, it’s a useful part of the home as long as you are actually opening it up enough to be able to use it. Even if you just want to use it as storage, be sure that you are doing so in a sensible way to save more space.

Utilise Under The Stairs

Depending on the design of your home, you might have space under the stairs which you could be using to create more space in general. If the stairs are open and all that space is visible and free, then you can install a bookshelf there which runs the whole length and height of it. That could be used for all sorts of things then, not just books, and it is a great way to make good use of the space. If it is just a cupboard under the stairs, make sure that you are keeping it neat and tidy so that you can really make the most of it and store as much there as possible. This is going to make a huge difference to your home overall.

Double-Use Furniture
By making good use of double-use furniture, you can hope to save a lot of space which would otherwise go wasted. The perfect example of this is a bed which opens up to reveal a huge storage area, or even a coffee table that is actually a chest that you can store things in. Whatever it is, these double-use furniture options are great for keeping itesm stowed away in neat places.
