5 School Trips for Kids in 2021

The year 2020 was a turbulent time for school students. When the pandemic hit many were forced to postpone their exams and didn’t receive the results they deserved. Moreover, there were issues with schools reopening which was disruptive to their studies. Now, with several vaccines becoming available there is light at the end of the tunnel. What better way to reward school students next year than with a memorable and educational school trip. 

Stratford Upon Avon

Stratford Upon Avon is the perfect place for school kids to visit. Shakespeare is one of the foundational literary figures of the English language; he has had a significant influence on the words and phrases we use habitually roday and has a huge cultural significance. 

Visiting Stratford Upon Avon is a chance for school students to see the original home of an iconic writer they will study for years to come. It will offer them inspiration to study and insight into the text and the world he wrote in. 

Edinburgh 

Edinburgh is Scotland’s capital city and for a good reason. It is one of the oldest cities in the UK and has spectacular architecture. It also has some fascinating history, along with literary, historical, and philosophical characters who significantly influenced our modern world. 

Edinburgh was the hub of the Scottish Enlightenment in the 18th and early 19th century. During this time many new ideas were developed in a range of subjects. Visiting Edinburgh is a chance for school students to learn about the cultural past and it’s influence on today. 

Theme Parks 

Some school trips don’t have to be about learning, they can be about socialising too, and creating bonds and memories that will last long after they’ve passed their exams and left the school. The UK has many theme parks situated throughout the country all with something to offer.

Some theme parks even have educational options where students can learn about a relevant subject in an educational workshop before going off to enjoy the rides. An educational theme park excursion is a great way to combine inspiration and education for students. 

London 

London is one of the most famous cosmopolitan cities in the world and it’s bursting with educational value as well. When students visit the UK capital they will have a chance to learn about literature, theatre, history, architecture, business, religious studies and general sightseeing. 

Students visiting London can experience the place that inspired famous literary figures like Dickins, Woolf, and Johnson. They will also learn about the history and politics of Britain and see where the physical government headquarters are located. 

Liverpool

Liverpool is another major city that’s an exciting location for a school trip. Outside London, Liverpool has one of the largest collections of museums and art galleries, with the added benefit of being smaller and more manageable. Liverpool also has a famous cultural past.

School students will love visiting Liverpool, it’s museums and galleries offer insights into the historical past and cultural present. They will also get a lot from visiting the Beatles museum where the story of one of the most iconic bands in history is told.
