Celebrating Mother’s Day with Blossoming Gifts

My mum has always been a keen decorator.  I don’t think there is a room in her house that lasts much longer than a year without getting a full revamp, my poor dad is constantly painting and papering.  The one constant in my old home though is flowers.  My mum will always have a couple of bunches of gorgeous flowers displayed, usually in the hall and in the back room. When it comes to Mother’s Day I tend to have two default presents, a few Clinique treats or a bunch of flowers.  Both of which are always a big hit…

Beating The January Blues – Blossoming Gifts Review

January is my least favourite month. After the excitement of Christmas, and the run up to it is always a busy time in our house with lots of November birthdays, January always feels like a bit of a let down.  The festive period is over, summer still seems so far away and as I leave the house and return from work in the dark it feels like I rarely see daylight. One of our January treats is that we always book a table at one of our favourite restaurants for the end of the month.  It gives us something to…

Blossoming Gifts Review

It’s not really a secret that I love having flowers in the house.  It’s usually my Thursday treat to myself to buy a bunch to brighten the house over the weekend.  I was recently contacted by Blossoming Gifts who asked if I would like to review one of their bouquets, it wasn’t an offer I had to think long about. Trespass Chorley Waterproof Jacket Review

As O has got older I find myself spending more and more time outside.  My little boy just loves being in the open air, regardless of the weather.  When I was contacted by Trespass with the opportunity to review an item from their website I was excited and a little bit nervous at the same time. Being a mum to an active three year old means that you need clothes that are practical, but as my blog name suggests I really don’t want to turn into a middle-aged frump and sometimes I have moments when I look in the mirror…

An Early Mothers Day Treat

I have to admit I love flowers. Not quite to the same extent that Elton John does, but I do  try to always have a few fresh ones in the house even if they are just a bunch of £1 daffodils from the supermarket. There’s something about seeing them that always makes me smile. My husband is not really one for buying flowers, I’m struggling to remember the last bunch he bought me, so it’s usually a little treat I get for myself. Last week Debenhams Flowers contacted me and asked if they could send me one of their Mothers…
