A Lazy Morning In Bruges

Bruges has always been on my top ten list of places I’d love to visit.  Having spent an amazing New Years Eve in Brussels what feels like a lifetime ago, I have a soft spot for Belgium and the pictures I had seen of Bruges looked so beautiful I needed to visit. When we first looked into the idea of booking ourselves a mini-cruise I have to admit I was hugely swayed by the fact that the ship would be stopping in this gorgeous city.  I’ve been counting down the days for months until we would be there. Things I’m Loving Lately {August}

August is one of my favourite months for the sole reason that I get to be a stay at home mum for its entirety.  We have no timetables to stick to, no places that we really have to be and can take each day as it comes.  If it’s sunny (come on now, don’t laugh) we can head out for a walk and see where we end up.  If it pours it down we can cuddle on the couch watching Blaze and the Monster Machines on repeat.  Sadly, August is coming to an end and with it those lazy days,…

The past few months have felt very much out…

It’s only since we moved into our current house five years ago that we’ve started to get into the swing of things. It’s one of the reasons I love living in a small village, there is a real sense of community, which is never more evident than on Halloween. The pumpkin carving is a serious business. Patterns are researched and each year needs to be a step up from the last. Halloween afternoon is spent hollowing out pumpkins and trying to…
