The Ordinary Moments – Mummys Little Helper

My little man is a real people pleaser, and as a result he loves to help out.  At the end of our Rugbytots class he’s the one helping the coach put the balls away and won’t leave until they are all back in the bag.

He’s just the same at home, he wants to help with everything.  One of his favourite things is putting things in the bin. I’ve no idea why, but he loves it. Giving him a piece of rubbish is like giving him a treat!

Another journey to the bin!

Another journey to the bin!

His second favourite thing is putting the washing on.

He’s a keen duster, wiper, milk fetcher, bed maker….the list goes on. His special brand of helpfulness means most jobs take twice as long, but I love watching him trot off on a helping mission. Long may it continue!

The only downside is he wants to help with everything and doesn’t understand there are some things he’s just too young to do! x

So cute! My little guy’s favourite thing to do is sweep the kitchen. He’s also pretty into doing the dusting! Can’t wait til he can really help out…. Lovely post x

Thanks, I can’t dust unless he is also dusting. I’m wondering at what age this enthusiasm for helping wears off! x

Thanks, I’m loving it too! O does make me laugh when his toys are out, “Let’s tidy mummy”. I think he prefers the tidying to the actual playing! x

Hehe it’s so cute isn’t it? Z is obsessed with the washing machine and dryer and loves loading it all up and putting it on. I’m not really sure where he gets it from!

Me neither, I’m definitely not a neat freak. Must be from his dad! x

Aww bless him that’s adorable! Monkey quite likes cleaning too… which we are happy to encourage! I just watched him hoover up some crumbs with the dustbuster! Brilliant! Lovely pics of your little helper! xx #theordinarymoments

Ooh, a DustBuster is a great idea. Wonder if I can get away with giving him one for his Easter pressie x

Lovely! My five year old loves transferring the washing to the dryer, and emptying the dishwasher. I’m waiting for the day he can make a cup of tea…

Oh bless him, what a gorgeous little helper. He will make a great husband one day. 😉 My big girl always gets stickers for helping at nursery but at home it has to be on her terms. 😉

Oh bless that’s so sweet! My biggest girl is very into doing her sweeping, which is great until she decided to sweep her baby sister too – “no we do not brush Baby!” is definitely up there in the long list of things I never thought I’d find myself saying!
