Normally in our house mornings are a little bit hectic. With 2 dogs to get fed and sorted and a 2 year old to get milked (not literally!), dressed and dropped off it’s slightly chaotic.
I have got better at trying to get organised the night before but I’m still scrabbling around at quarter to 8 in a panic making sure O has a change of clothes, just in case, and a dummy for nap time, and the latest form nursery have wanted filling in! If we leave the house any later than 7:50 I’ve got about a 10% chance of making it to work on time.
On a Thursday we get a break from this which is lovely, but nothing beats the school holidays when we can have 2 full weeks of lazy mornings. We can all snuggle in Mummy Daddy bed and watch Little Princess, followed by HollyBen. Yes, I do know the Milkshake running order off by heart!
O can stay in his pyjamas as long as he wants, and if he decides that today is the day he doesn’t want to wear pants, it really doesn’t matter. We can fight that battle later!
One of the best things about lazy mornings is that we all get to eat breakfast together, which means only one thing. Boiled eggs and dippy soldiers! My little mans favourite, especially when he gets to eat them with Daddy. The perfect way to start the day.
We love dippy eggs here too!! It’s our lazy morning breakie as well xxx

O loves them and runs around the house shouting “Eggies” until they’re ready x
Dippy eggs are just wonderful – and you can’t eat them in a hurry so they’re definitely perfect for lazy mornings!!

So true, dippy eggs definitely can’t be eaten in a hurry! x
We love dippy egg {me especially!} and this sounds like the perfect lazy morning breakfast!

It is, and my greedy little man can eat 2 all to himself! x
Our lazy mornings are at the weekends. I go for a run or the gym and the kids stay in their pyjamas for hours with daddy. They all love it! x

Hubby hits the gym early at weekends so whilst me and O get to be lazy it’s not the full family. It’s nice to have a leisurely breakfast mid-week, when all three of us are there. My other half only works a few mins drive away from where we live so he’s not usually having to rush!
Oh dippy eggs are amazing, and I suck at making them! No one could make them like my Mummy. But I’ll tell you what i DO love…mushy egg and toasted soldiers, yum! #ordinarymoments
Strangely I was just thinking today about dippy eggs, I used to love them as a child but we haven’t ever tried Mads or LL on them- I think they would love them! No one could make them like my Mum though, I have such fond memories of weekends having dippy eggs as a child. Thanks for making me remember. 🙂 x
Very special memories of drowsing in the morning as some kids’ programme or other tinkles away in the background keeping little ones beside me happy.
We have a lot of lazy mornings at the moment! Hubby works shifts and I’m on maternity leave and LP is yet to start nursery so other than the two days out of ten where Hubby has to leave at 6am we stay in bed as long as possible in the mornings! Dreading going back to work and LP starting nursery! x
Times like this are priceless! I am so happy to have control of our time cuz of this holiday =) #ordinarymoments
We treasure lazy mornings too, no pressure and so now I always arrange things for mid morning if we are seeing friends! Just can’t get my boys moving early!!! xx #theordinarymoments
Its great not having to rush in the morning and having a late lazy breakfast together as a family is really pretty special I think. #ordinarymoments
Perfect ordinary lazy moment 🙂 xx
