The Siblings Project {August}

I’m a few days late with my Siblings Project this month.  The 15th of the month creeped up on  me and O has been busy for the first half of the week meaning there wasn’t a good time to get a picture of my boys together.

The plan was to get the big camera out and take a few of them today in our garden but yesterday, at my mums, I managed to take some of O and G together that I actually really love.  G was having a kick about on the couch and O came over to sit with him and it made for some really sweet moments between them.

G is a very different baby to O.  Whereas O wasn’t a huge feeder, G loves his food and is starting to really fill out.  O always loved his vibrating chair and hated the swing, G is the opposite and loves the swinging motion.  O was a cat napper and would wake after twenty minutes or so but G will sleep for a few hours at a time during the day.

The one thing that they do have in common is that they both love their cuddles and love to be close to people.  If I had to choose one trait for them both to share, this would be it.  One of my favourite times of the day is when we’re all cuddling together on the couch before bed.

O just adores being a big brother and G is now starting to recognise people and gives O a big grin when he sees him.  Something that makes O’s face light up.

These days feel so precious as in just over three weeks O will be starting school.  Whilst a part of me is looking forward to the structure of a routine I feel a bit sad that the days of us being a little threesome are almost over.  Next month is such an important one for O, but I am so happy that his little brother can be there to greet him at the school gates at the end of each day.
