Happy Friday, hope you’ve all had a good week. My little loves have been…
Read I’m still trying to catch up a lot of blog reading and commenting so that’s mostly what I’ve been reading this week. The most moving post of the week goes to Kerri-Ann over at Life As Our a Little Family as she wrote about the premature birth of her gorgeous Lil G. I had tears streaming down my face as I read it. Such a brave mummy, pop over and have a read here.
Watched Last night I went to the ballet with my friends to watch Beauty and The Beast. A couple of my friends are huge ballet fans so they drag the rest of us along. To be honest, I sometimes get a tiny bit bored during the ballet but last nights performance was fantastic, I was hooked from start to finish. Gorgeous sets, beautiful music and amazing dancers.
Heard One thing about working with kids is that they never fail to make you laugh. I was telling my Year 11’s I was going to watch the ballet and one of the lads asked, “who are they?” One of the girls had to explain to him “the ballet” weren’t a band!
Made On Wednesday we finished work early due to open evening so I came home and did a bit of baking with O. I’m not sure we made the most appetizing of cakes but we had fun doing it.
And O made a Cheshire Cat at soft play!
Wore Nothing new! I saw Emma (Life At the Little Wood) mention something on Instagram about the 30 day style challenge. It’s the idea of Becky at Spirited Puddle Jumper where for 30 days you can only wear something already in your wardrobe, the post is here. As someone who is forever saying “I have nothing to wear” I am determined to try stick to it and hopefully rediscover a few lost treasures. Apologies in advance for the dodgy selfies on IG with my outfit of the day.
And lastly… Whilst on my girlie night out we’ve made some plans for a girlie weekend away to St Andrews in the New Year. I haven’t been away on my own since before O was born so am getting very excited.
Sorry this is a little rushed this week. I had planned to write it up on Thursday whilst O napped, so obviously he decided napping is for wimps!
Have a great week!
You look gorgeous in both your outfits Jo, and your selfies are fab! I love seeing what people are wearing (so nosy, me!) I have just been to one Ballet – we took a group of Yr12’s to see Romeo and Juliet one time and, honestly, they were mesmerised. It’s one of those things that you think will be a bore, but then is actually pretty amazing. Have the loveliest weekend my little chum xxx
I love the ballet, haven’t been for such a long time. I love that one of your pupils thought it was a band, really made me giggle!
Super jealous of your holiday plans – I absolutely adore St Andrews! x

Aww thank you for mentioning my post, i’m finding it tough thinking back to those few hours and weeks at the minute. I am glad I wrote it down but geez it’s making me more emotional. You made me laugh out loud when the boy in your class didn’t quite get the reference to the ballet! Chuckles. Good luck with the 30 day challenge, I will keep an eye out. Enjoy your weekend away hon, I left George for only a day and a half but oh how I was ready to come home. He on the other hand cried when we picked him up as it meant he had to leave his friend. Geez that kinda hurt x

Just found your blog and enjoyed this post (and the idea of it) very much. I also laughed at the boy not understanding ballet, but I laughed even more at the 30-day challenge. All I ever wear is what’s already in my closet! Maybe something new every few months, but this is a challenge I’d totally rock! Thanks, and I’m looking forward to more.
