Love The Little Things #38

Welcome to this weeks little loves.  Well, I did it!  Last Saturday I managed to drag myself round 11.2 miles of mud, tunnels, walls and lots more besides and completed Tough Mudder North West.  It was one of the hardest things I’ve ever done (and I have the bruises to prove it) but it was fantastic and I was lucky to have a great team running (with a little bit of walking) alongside me.  If you saw my instagram feed last weekend there was a fair bit of TM spam but I will get round to writing it properly over the next few days.

Read I have struggled to read much this week and am way behind on almost all things blog related.  I keep promising myself I’ll catch up but something always gets in the way. Sorry for the crap read section this week, I will do better next Friday, I promise!

Watched The trailer new Hunger Games film. Oh my goodness, it’s fab and I can’t wait for the film. Roll on November!

Heard Actually, I’m not loving this but I heard an awful lot of shrieking from my little boy yesterday. All because I wouldn’t buy him one of those stupid ball things they stick by the tills in supermarkets (thanks for that Sainsburys!). I wasn’t being mean, he’d already had a plastic wiggly snake earlier on in the day as a treat and he needs to learn he can’t just say “I want” and have things bought for him. However, the result of telling him no lead to the biggest tantrum he has ever had. I’m really hoping it’s not a sign of things to come!

Made Sorry this is a bit cheesy, but some new friends. When you’ve all been covered in mud and dragged a few people over walls and through tunnels you can’t help but form a bit of a bond and it made the whole Tough Mudder experience a giggle from start to finish!

Wore A bloody tutu! It had been someone’s good idea that our team should run Tough Mudder sporting tutu’s. A seemingly daft idea did mean we could always find each other, just look for the idiots in the bright pink tutus!

And lastly…the weather for the last few days has continued to be gorgeous and on Thursday we were making the most of it. I’ve been trying to make more of an effort to take O to new places so we headed off to Red House Farm, in Cheshire. What a lovely little place, and we ended up spending over 3 hours there whilst O played in the sand pit and ran around flitting between the many slides that were there. A perfect place for an almost 3 year old.

So that’s been our week, and I’m looking forward to a very relaxing weekend!

Good luck to the gorgeous Jenny and Morgana (and all the other finalists) at tonight’s MAD’s awards.  Keeping my fingers crossed for you! xx

Go team tutu! Well done Jo! Good effort. 🙂 As far as the tantrums go – I’ll just say brace yourself – it is a commonly held belief amongst my friends that three is worse than two as they get even more stubborn and undistractable! Then again you hear of kids who don’t ‘do’ tantrums at all… they’re all different. Have a lovely weekend xx #littleloves
