Love The Little Things #37

It’s been a funny week really. The new school term is well under way, and the summer holidays feel as if they never happened. I’ve been busy training, and we’ve got a big decision to make in the next few weeks which is scary and exciting all at the same time. Enough rambling, let’s focus on the good stuff!

Read I read a bit of my holiday book! On Sunday night I had a lovely bath and read my book, bliss!

Watched Educating the East End. I was completely addicted to Educating Yorkshire so was very excited when I saw the advert for the new series. Nothing better than watching stroppy kids with attitude knowing you don’t have to be the one to sort them out!

Heard I may (okay, definitely have) been dancing around my room to this track by Meghan Trainor this week.

Made Tenuous link alert, I’ve made a complete mess of myself! Sunday was my final training session before Tough Mudder tomorrow so our trainer had us crawling through mud. My goodness, mud is heavy when you have to try and run with it stuck to your legs!

Wore I’ve been rediscovering my wardrobe a bit this week as a lot of the clothes that had been too tight for me before the summer hols are now fitting again. Such a great feeling to know that the exercise is paying off.

My fave Reiss skirt!

My fave Reiss skirt!

And lastly…As mentioned in my Made section tomorrow is my Tough Mudder event. I’m reluctant to use the word race, as it doesn’t feel like a race. I’m not trying to finish it in any particular time, I’ll just be glad to get to the end. Wish me luck!

Love that song has been my guilty pleasure this week dancing around the kitchen to it this week while Pops is at nursery. Well done you on the mud runs and good luck for the next one. Would love to do a mud run sound like so much fun and I agree all about bettering yourself not racing others. Have a fab weekend. x

Oh Jo, good luck for tomorrow! You are amazing – I don’t think I could run to the end of our lane, let alone a longer distance with mud caked everywhere! You are looking gorgeous too – adore your outfit! Lots of love poppet xx

Ooh good luck with Tough Mudder! Rather you than me 😉 Love the song and its sentiment. I watched Educating the East End last night – it’s nice to see progress being made with kids who start out ‘difficult’ – a bit of time and the right approach can do wonders and I’m always in awe of teachers turning people around like that – as a parent I have difficulty knowing where to start with discipline sometimes but I think everything comes down to respect – and if you can instil that (without stopping them from questioning duff rules) then you’re halfway there – massive respect to you and all the teachers out there! I totally forgot about Educating The East End! I’ll have to watch it on catch up. My Brother lives next door to an East End school (primary not senior) so I was wanting to watch it x
