Love The Little Things #18

Happy May everyone.  I love that the nights are lighter, the weather is getting warmer and we go on holiday this month.  Yippee!!

Without further ado, let’s have a little look at the little loves of the week.

Read As we’re heading into the craziness that is “exam season” at work I haven’t had much time to read anything other than other blog posts (and I’m falling behind with that aswell).  I loved seeing our very own Emma from Life At The Little Wood strutting her blogging stuff on the Sanctuary Spa site.  Pop over and take a look at her April Loves.

Watched Yesterday I watched as my little man and my godson played “together” for the first time.  There’s only 6 months between them and although they have spent lots of time in each others company it was the first time they were really playing together.  So cute to watch them running around the house squealing with delight.  The cleaning up afterwards wasn’t so cute!

Heard Some really great news.  One of my Year 13 form eventually heard that he had been offered a place on a medicine degree for September.  He had an interview for it before Christmas, and whilst his other places had rejected him, he was still waiting to hear.  They haven’t half kept him waiting but this week he heard he’s got the offer.  He’s a great lad who I have taught in Years 7, 9, 10 and 12 and he will make a fantastic doctor (I have no doubts whatsoever he will get the grades to confirm his place).  I am so happy for him, he really deserved it!

Made This isn’t too exciting but I made garlic meatball tacos last Friday night.  I’ve never had a taco before and there was a worrying moment when I thought we were just going to end up with some very soggy, greasy tortillas but it all worked out in the end.  Plus they were pretty yummy with a homemade tomato sauce.

Wore On Saturday night we had a kiddie free night and went to our friends 40th birthday party.  After borrowing a dress from my mum (it was a cool one, from Oasis, not in the slightest bit frumpy) I felt it was only fair to treat myself to a pair of new shoes to go with it.  I love New Look for shoes and with their prices there’s a little bit left over for the matching bag too!

And lastly…My work bestie has been off work for a couple of months now after a horrific operation on her back and I’ve been missing her like crazy (seriously, she keeps me sane on a daily basis!)  She’s also my godson’s mummy so whilst our boys were playing yesterday we had the chance to have a gossip and a catch up.  Nothing better than a good chat with a fab friend!

Hope you all have a wonderful bank holiday weekend and see you all next Friday for more Little Loves.

There’s nothing better than having a proper catch up with your bestie! So lovely that your boys are a similar age too. My god-daughters are the same age as E and they have a whale of a time when they are together, so lovely to see.
    Have a lovely weekend! xx

Lovely selection of loves! Isn’t it super when the little ones start playing together instead of just next to each other? X
