Hello September! I love this time of year, usually it’s because it means the beginning of the new school year and a fresh start. Even though I’m not returning to work at the moment there is something about this time of year that feels like the start of something new. Saying that I do hope the sunshine sticks around a little bit longer.
Read
I haven’t picked up a book in months but I have been putting together a list of books (in my bullet journal, of course) I want to read and got a few suggestions from those listed in the Marie Claire I was reading at the hairdressers. Please let me know if you have any good recommendations and I can add them to my list.
Watched
It hast to be X-Factor this week. I love the audition stages and I surprised myself my liking the new judge line up with Louis and Sharon being back. Honey G??? Nothing else to say!
Made
I’ve made more of an effort with my blog (sorry this one’s a bit weak link). I had largely left it to limp along for the past few months and gave some serious consideration into giving it up altogether. I think the deciding factor was that I would miss the community that there is in the blogging world and so if I’m not quitting I’m going to put a bit more effort into it. For the first time in a very long time I have no school work to worry about, O will be in school in just over a week and I will have a bit more time on my hands and I’m planning to spend some of that time on this little space here.
Wore
New Hair! I’d been feeling a bit blah about my hair, wasn’t too keen on the colour and after making the decision to grow out my fringe to make it easier to look after I was seriously regretting it. I’ve gone for a darker brown and had my fringe put back in and it feels a lot more me.
Heard
I did dig out my old iPod Nano when I went running last week and it is loaded with music I put on about 8 years ago so I have been loving to a bit of a dodgy mix of songs including Belinda Carlisle Leave a Light on For Me and this old classic. This was the ultimate getting ready to go out song when I was 17. On a Friday night obvs!
And Lastly…
As O doesn’t start school for another week due to how his primary stagger the new starters we are off to Wales on Sunday for a few days to make the most of our bonus week. It will be our first time away with G and I think we’re all ready for a break and a change of scene. Packing up the car is going to be interesting but I’m looking forward to our first family holiday.
Loving the hair, it looks gorgeous and really suits you! If you love a good thriller read I’d definitely recommend The Good Girl by Mary Kubica or The Kind Worth Killing by Peter Swanson. Enjoy your weekend xx
Your hair is gorgeous!! I absolutely love it. I really need to get my hair cut as I haven’t had it done since January 🙁 xx

LOVE LOVE LOVE your hair! It’s so pretty and really suits you.
I’m surprising myself by enjoying Xfactor. I think the judge line up is perfect and so pleased they’ve gone back to the old style of auditions.
Hope you’ve had a lovely break in Wales xx
