The Caravan House, School Thoughts & Getting Wet #LittleLoves

A lot of schools were back in this week but as we finished later than most we’ve also had this week off so today is the last day of our Easter break.  I’m always a little bit sad when the holidays are over but even more so today.  Maybe it’s the age that O is at which has made him so much fun for the past two weeks, maybe it’s helped that the weather has (for the most part) been lovely or maybe that it’s because I know I’m heading back to a crazy half term.  We really have had a wonderful Easter break and I have loved spending so much time with O, and I think he’s quite liked it too.

Yesterday was the day the primary school places came out. We are a year away from this but as the past 12 months have flown by it will be here before I know it and the thought of my son being ready for school makes me want to weep. Two lovely posts that I read yesterday were Brummy Mummy’s So It Looks Like You’re Off To School which made me want to cry and MummyDaddyMe’s We Didn’t Get The School We Wanted. She wrote beautifully about her disappointment at getting their third choice school for their gorgeous girl.

Last weekend we headed off to Wales to my parents caravan house (as O calls it). On site there is a little swimming pool which we always take O in. Usually it is really quiet and on Monday we had the pool to ourselves. I don’t take O swimming (naughty mummy) but he does love the water and his confidence is really starting to grow which was lovely to watch. He had such a great time that I took him to our local pool for their Ducklings session yesterday and have booked us in again for next Thursday. They have a 10am session which ties in perfectly with getting to preschool for 12.

I’ve been listening to a lot of Taylor Swift this week. The lady can write a catchy tune, even if O shouts at me to “Stop Singing!”

Eek, struggling a bit with this one this week. We have been having a bit of a chilled week so not too much making going on. I did make hubby and I meatballs for dinner last Friday. They’re an Ainsley Harriet recipe and are one of my all time favourites.

I also made a purchase of a new phone app for editing photos, PicTapGo.  I love it and in just a few days I’ve had my £1.49 moneys worth.

My new jacket that I am reviewing for Trespass. I’m not normally an outdoor attire kinda girl but I really love this coat and it was really put to the test in a very wet and windy Wales on Sunday.

Cuffed Jeans – again something I’ve not really been a fan of before but they are so comfy and practical when running around after a three year old but don’t make me look like a total slob. I may have bought a second pair too.

And Lastly…
We had such a lovely weekend in Wales (despite the weather), sometimes it is so nice to get away from it all. We would have stayed longer but the in-laws were going on holiday and wanted to see O before they left. I’ll leave you with a few of my fave pics from the Caravan House. Have a lovely week.

What a fab Little Loves, it seems like you’ve had a great week to end the holidays on.
I’m not a fan of taking my girls swimming either, thankfully their daddy loves to take them! They’re both in swimming lessons on a Friday and it’s amazing to watch them learn… even though E doesn’t listen and spends most to the time chatting or going underwater!!
    Have a lovely weekend xx

O hated swimming lessons when he first went and would cry when I pulled up into the car park but he is loving being in the water again now. x

I’m dreading next year, I’ll be devastated if O doesn’t get into our local school. Lots of fingers and toes will be crossed! x

Lewis tells me to stop singing too! It’s so rude of him, I am a fabulous singer (not). We got away too over the holidays, it is lovely to have a break isn’t it? Some fabulous photos of you and O. Well done on the swimming, glad you enjoyed it. It’s on my to do list…..

Oh what a lovely post! Looks like you’ve had a lovely time off for Easter. Yes, those school places posts were brilliant weren’t they? Even though (like you) we’re not quite there yet, I felt nervous for them all! Great photographs and love the new clothes! Jess xx

We are the same as you and will be doing the school thing next year – not looking forward to it! I have also been singing to Taylor Swift all week; luckily Ava just sings it back at me usually. I am not usually an outdoorsy clothes type of person either, but that jacket is really lovely. Hope you have a nice weekend xx

It’s so nerve-wracking even thinking about school, how can he be old enough for it to be something we need to start considering? xx

That’s a gorgeous pic of your boy overlooking the bay. Liking the cost too – I desperately need a new spring Mac and would never have thought to look at Tresspass.

Hope you have a great weekend x

It wouldn’t be Wales if it wasn’t a bit wet and windy 🙂 that coat is lovely, I love the anchor print inside the hood. Woo love Taylor, I’ve had Blank Space on repeat today. Glad you had a relaxing time away, hope you’re having a lovely weekend xx

I really want to visit Wales – I can’t believe I’ve never been at the age of 28. We have only taken Parker swimming twice – he is 5 months old – I find it so much easier to go when there are two of you. I must take him more! I really want him to be confident in water, especially as we live near the sea. Enjoy your week!
