I can’t say I’m sad to see the back of January, it always feels like the longest month of the year. Whilst the weather hasn’t really improved there is the tiniest hint of Spring on its way and I can’t wait.
Here’s what we’ve been loving this week.

I’m still failing a bit with this one, work is so busy at the minute and when I get in from school the only thing I want to do is sit on the couch and not move. I do have the latest copy of Mother and Baby ready and waiting for me downstairs so the plan for this afternoon is to treat myself to a nice coffee and have a browse.
Watched
I missed last weeks Little Loves so this was actually from the week before, but Mr Frump and I went on a cinema date. It had been so long since we had been out as a couple and as the in-laws had asked if O could have a sleepover at theirs we took full advantage with a movie afternoon and dinner out. We opted for The Revenant, and it was brilliant. A bit gruesome in places and quite a tense film for the majority of it but Leo was amazing in it. Well deserving of his Oscar nomination.
Made
O and I decided to make some Mister Maker cupcakes. They don’t look like the picture and they don’t taste particularly nice but he was happy with them, and I guess that’s all that matters.
Wore
Anything that fits!! I bought a few maternity dresses to wear to work to see me through but have slowly realised that it’s my weekend wardrobe that is seriously lacking now that I am getting bigger. I did treat myself to this maternity jumper from ASOS last weekend and it is so comfy I may be living in it for the next four months.
Heard
O surprises me a little bit more every day and I am so proud of the sweet boy he is becoming. On the drive home we often chat about our day. This week I was asking him how his day was and he asked me how mine was too. I told him I’d had a nice day and his response was, “That’s good Mummy, tell me all about it.” Such a little love.
And Lastly…
I had a bit of a rubbish week at work the week before last. Just a general mix of the workload being crazy, kids being challenging, and being a bit knackered and hormonal. On my last lesson of the day my lovely friend (who also happened to be our new assistant head) popped in and left this on my desk. The result being that I ended the week with a smile!
Hope you’ve all had a lovely week, see you next Friday. xxx
That’s such a nice gesture. Love the little note. I quite fancy The Revenant too, though like you say, it doesn’t sound like it’s for the faint hearted.
What a sweet boy O is! My girls would never come out with that!
I really want to see The Revenant, need to find a babysitter so we can go.
Love a Crunchie, what a fab deputy head to have 😉 xx

How sweet of O, I bet that is something you say to him all the time. I love it when kids do that. Love that Jumper. I’ve no longer got jumpers that fit! I’ve just finished baking with my little one, it’s fun isn’t it? but better if the end result tastes nice too.
