I need to start off with a bit of an apology, I’m so sorry for my rubbish commenting on last weeks posts. The week just ran away with me and before I knew about it Thursday had come around and then our internet went down from 4pm yesterday and still wasn’t up and running when I left for work this morning, grrr! I promise I will get round everyone this week.
It’s been of a disappointing week in lots of ways. We’ve been let down quite badly by someone we classed as a good friend and I had some disappointing news at work, made worse by how the situation was handled. I’m not going to go into details but it did leave me feeling a bit hurt, but I’ll get over it.
I was also disappointed with Mondays maths paper. After the drama surrounding Hannah and her sweets I actually think Paper 2 was harder and feel a bit gutted for my students that it wasn’t a nicer exam.
This is the reason I love this linky, it makes me realise there has still been some positives over the past seven days and this gives me a chance to focus on them.
I finished reading Girl On The Train. Normally I’m a chick lit kinda girl, but I really enjoyed it and should make more of an effort to find thrillers to read as I loved them when I get into them.
The last ever episode of Revenge. I feel a bit sad it’s all over although it would have been silly to keep it going much longer. I remember so clearly watching the first episode when O was about 7 months old and I was making him some tomato Bolognese as his first try of meat. Somehow it seems fitting that it should end now as we leave the baby days well and truly behind us.
My new favourite shoes ever. I have been after some heels to wear with my summer dresses for about 4 years and have never quite found a pair I liked. I stumbled across these in M&S and fell in love with them. They go with almost everything in my wardrobe and have a gorgeous chunky wood heel. I’m totally in love with them.
On Sunday I took O to a street market they have in one of the towns near to us. It only runs on the first Sunday of every month during the summer but they have the most gorgeous stalls and at the top of the street where the market is they have food stalls and a band playing. It was a lovely afternoon sat in the sun, eating pizza and listening to the music.
Deliciously Ella’s almond and chia energy bites. They are so easy to make in the food processor and so yummy.
I picked up this babycham candle from the street market and it has the most amazing smell as well as looking so adorable. I just need to find a home for him now (is it just me who assumes the Babycham deer is a boy).
Have a lovely week.
