This may be a little bit late but Happy New Year. Towards the end of 2015 it was a bit hit or miss if I joined in with Little Loves but that is something I want to correct for this year. I really love focusing on those little things in the week that have made me smile and they are lovely posts to look back and read.
The first week back in work is almost over and I am really looking forward to the weekend, we have no plans and I can’t wait to have a bit of a chill, especially now that my house is back to normal.
Read
A bit of an old favourite but after watching Stick Man on Christmas Day we have been reading that a few times this week, I love reading it to O and he loves it too and has now started joining in with the words that he knows.
Watched
On New Years Day I watched the one off episode of Sherlock, did anyone else find it really confusing? Admittedly, I was a bit tired watching it and wasn’t really focused for the first half hour but I seemed to spend quite a bit of time rewinding to make sense of what was going on! Despite all that, I still really enjoyed it.
Made
An effort to get the paints out with O. He loves painting but I have to admit I usually try to avoid it when I can (bad mum). Yesterday we got all the paints out and coloured in some pictures together and it was a really lovely way to pass an hour.
My brother bought me this lovely blazer from Topshop Maternity for Christmas and it is so comfy and is perfect for throwing on with a pair of jeans . I think it will get worn a lot in the next few months.
On a side note I have also been wearing a bit too much make up. My skin has gone really blotchy in this pregnancy so I’ve been having to cover up.
Heard
Our baby’s heartbeat at my (very late) 16 week midwife appointment. I took O with me and his little face lit up when he heard it.
On the radio I have been, and I’m not proud to admit this, Justin Bieber. I love all of his recent songs but especially this one.
And Lastly…
We found out a couple of weeks ago we are expecting a baby boy and so the shopping has commenced. We already have so many things from O so I am trying to bot go daft but sometimes you just can’t resist a newborn outfit can you? How cute is this?
Have a lovely week and see you next Friday!
We are huge fans of Stick Man and I loved the adaption on Christmas Day. Ive yet to watch Sherlock, I have heard it was a bit like marmite… Ive put of watching it to be honest as I love the show and Im worried it will totally turn me off! I adore that Justin Bieber song and its been playing here a lot! Love that blazer! Glad to see you back this year! xx

I really loved Sherlock, but I know what you mean, I really had to pay attention to keep track of what was going on and at times I had no idea where it was going!
That blazer is fab, I’d be wearing it all the time. Like you said it’s perfect to throw on with jeans.
Oh my goodness I love Justin Bieber, and that is something I thought I would never ever say! His recent stuff has been so good.
Have a lovely weekend xx

Haha, I never thought I’d say I’d love Justin either. The blazer is getting so much wear, although if it does get colder next week I’ll need to get my thicker coat out. xx

Every time I think about painting I buy a couple more bits because I forget what we have and over time it’s grown. We also have a load of sponges for dab painting, but they hardly ever come out. xx

Ah I’m not sure if I congratulated you on having a baby boy, if not congrats again! I completely agree about Sherlock, to be honest I’m still a bit unsure as to what went on haha xx

We sat down really excited about Sherlock and ended up both being like…err, what just happened?! It was kind of clever and kind of confusing and kind of pointless all rolled into one I think! I love the little outfit you’ve bought for baby, so gorgeous. Have a great week x

That’s exactly how I felt about it, although I am really excited for a new series! x

We’ve not watched sherlock yet (was on too late for me!). Sounds like it will have to wait unitl I’m not falling asleep at 8pm so I can attempt to keep up. We loved stickman though. Baby clothes are too cute to resist aren’t they? I’ve not bought any yet this time round but I have bought a few other bits and bobs.

I have no willpower when I go into the shops, especially whilst the sales are on. I’m putting myself on a shopping ban for the next few weeks then I won’t be tempted. xx

Well I am nearly 42 and quite liking the Bieber at the moment (I feel dirty admitting this at my age lol). We loved The Stick Man on Christmas day but have not read the book yet #littleloves x

I’m loving Justin Bieber at the moment too. He must have some new writers or producers or something as every song he’s released in the last few months is brilliant, unlike the usual rubbish he churns out. That little outfit is so cute! I miss baby clothes. Have a great weekend x

I love little baby clothes, although it’s a bit dangerous letting me near a shop at the minute. My husband rolls his eyes every time I come back with another outfit (or when another delivery arrives) xx

That Justin Bieber song is my ultimate guilty pleasure at the moment. I adore it and crank the radio up whenever it comes on. I tell myself it’s ok as Ed Sheeran wrote it….! We love Stick Man too and that blazer looks super comfy! x

O loves to chat in the car, but when that comes on I tell him I’m on a tricky bit of the road and need to concentrate so I can turn it up and have a sing along (terrible mum)! x

You’ll have a little football team soon! I’m sorry about your skin lovely, have you tried double base? You’ll get it from the dr on prescription, foc. Worse case increase your water consumption to flush you out. Don’t you just love those pregnancy hormones! You can’t be a blazer, you should also pick up some kaftans, perfect for adding a layer x

Thanks for the advice lovely, I’ll try the water first. It comes and goes a bit, some days are worse than others, I don’t think the weather at this time of year is helping much either! xx

I have been loving painting too, well by my loving, I’ve been getting them out and letting them get on with it haha, the 9 year old is great at supervising. It’s such a nice way to spend an hour or two when it’s cold and dreary. Congratulations on finding out it’s a boy, how exciting. That blazer is gorgeous and I also love that song. Have you heard the Craig David version of it, totally old skool but amazing. xxx have a great week lovely
