Well, it’s here, the last day of term. The last week is always a long one and this year has been no different, but let’s have a look at the best bits of the past 7 days.
Read
Not very much, a few pages of The Husbands Secret and trying to catch up with some blog reading, I feel so out of touch with everything after my little break. I am looking forward to lots more reading over the next few weeks.
Watched
O driving my nephews quad bike round my parents garden. I was really impressed with how well he can handle himself on it, and it did make me want a bigger version for me.
Wore
Boxing gloves! I’ve started going to a boxing exercise class on a Saturday morning and as the gloves there stink (seriously, they are horrible and sweaty) so I treated myself to my own pair. It’s a really tough hour but good fun, and a good way to get rid of the weeks stresses.
Heard
O asking every morning if we can go and check the peas and strawberries. Bless him, it’s so cute and he insists on taking me to the bottom of the garden to see how much they have grown, and if any are ready for picking. He’s becoming quite the expert at pea shelling.
Made
I was very excited when my Nutri-Bullet turned up nice and early on Saturday morning so have spent the past week making Smoothies for breakfast. I was a little worried it would be one of those gadgets that I would buy, use for a couple of weeks and then it would sit there gathering dust, but it is so easy to use (and clean) I think I will be using it every day.
And Lastly…
The past school year has been a funny one for me, I’ve not quite been as “with it” as I normally am and have constantly felt on catch up. I am glad to put it behind me for now and September is a fresh start.
But that’s a while off yet so I am putting Miss away for the next 6 weeks and looking forward to being just Jo and Mum.
Here’s to a wonderful summer!

Hurray for school out! Ahh lovely hunny… always good to chill back with your little one and just enjoy. Good for you on the smoothies I am doing the same. I am on a 30 day no junk challenge and it’s been hard but slowing paying off now. lol 🙂 Hard while on vacation but when you leave for two months I didn’t want to return 10 more pounds on than off. lol Hope you have a lovely weekend #littleloves

Congrats on making it through the school year Jo! That picture of the peas and strawberries is gorgeous – it’s just like pure English summertime right there in your hand. Do you think you will make anything other than smoothies in the bullet? I desperately wanted a Vitamix blender a few weeks ago but came to the conclusion I couldn’t justify the cost and anyway I know how faddy I am! There is a nearly new Nutri bullet for sale on the small ads where I work though for £75 so I don’t know… Anyway have a wonderful relaxing weekend (and don’t punch anyone to the ground 😉 ) Xx #littloves

The boxing exercise class sounds great and perfect for de-stressing!!
So pleased that you love your Nutri-bullet, they are fab aren’t they? My husband thought it would be a fad and end up just sitting on the side or stuck in a cupboard but I use mine everyday!
Enjoy the summer lovely! xxx
