Pink, Patterns and a Wonderful World #LittleLoves

I’m a day late finishing this post and feeling a little bit delicate after a night out for my husbands birthday.  We hadn’t been out just the two of us for so long and we had such a lovely time.  Of course I got a bit giddy and maybe had a few too many Proseccos but it was worth it.  G has just gone down for his nap so I’m having a coffee and putting the final touches to this Little Loves.

I have mostly been reading Instruction Manuals as I had a very exciting delivery from Graco this week and I have been putting together the most beautiful new pushchair and also getting to grips with a new car seat.  Luckily they are fairly straight forward but I do still rely on the manuals to get me started.

Look how pretty this breton stripe is on the Evo Avant.

O singing at his school summer fair.  He didn’t really know the words, or the actions but every time he caught my eye he gave me a huge smile.

We also watched Hacksaw Ridge, which is a film based on the true story of Desmond Doss who was the first conscientious objector to awarded the Medal of Honour.  My husband chose it and I wasn’t too sure it was my thing but I was hooked and it was an amazing film.  I would highly recommend it, especially for the interview with the real Desmond Doss at the end.

I’m so sorry for this very tedious link, but I made a great purchase of Doves gradual tan moisturiser.  I have tried so many of these before and always found them a bit streaky but this one is great and has given me a really even natural looking colour.  I am normally so pale and a bit reluctant to get my legs out for that reason but this has worked wonders.  Definitely worth trying out!

I treated myself to a new t-shirt last week from Topshop and it’s already been worn a few times, it was perfect for throwing on with shorts during the hot spell we’ve just had.

The heat also gave me the opportunity to wear a dress I bought from The White Stuff last year.  It is such a pretty print and it has pockets, always a winner!

And this was my outfit from last night, the jeans are from Tesco and are amazing.  High waisted, contour fit and only £22!!

The song that O sang at his fair was Sam Cookes Wonderful World.  Just by coincidence it was on the radio driving home from work last night and it made me smile.

And Lastly…

G is at such a great age at the minute, he is into everything and keeping us busy but he is also learning so much.  He’s starting to say a few words and yesterday surprised us all by repeating “all gone” after my mother in law said it to him.  I’d forgotten how cute, and exciting, it is when babies start to talk.

Have a lovely weekend and fingers crossed the sun decides to pop back out.
