Thankfully this week has been a hundred times better than the one before. It’s actually been a really lovely one and the closer I get to starting maternity leave the more relaxed I feel with all things work related which is helping. Here’s the highlights:
Read
I’ve been trying to find some time this week to put my feet up and step away from always messing with my phone of laptop so have treated myself to a few magazines and have sat with a cup of tea (and usually some sort of cake) and had a good flick through. I don’t often buy magazines anymore but it was nice to be technology free.
Watched
This is a bit of a silly one but I watched You’ve Been Framed. I know, I know, it’s been on for years and a lot of the clips are similar to ones you have seen hundreds of times before but the difference this time was that I watched it with O. He found it hilarious and his big belly laughs were so contagious we were soon chuckling along with him. He doesn’t let me take my eyes off the screen for a second, “Mummy, mummy, did you see that one?” He has spent all week asking when it will be back on.
Made
Not very much at all, does a Spag Bol count??
Wore
I treated myself to an early Mothers Day present and bought a Selfish Mother Mama t-shirt. It is so lovely and soft but I think it will have to be put away until after the baby arrives as the bio seems to have had a bit of a growth spurt recently and I’m already busting out of it.
At least a scarf can’t ever be too tight and I’ve been wearing my new Joules bunny scarf, perfect for Spring.
Heard
Some of the best news ever, my brother and his wife announced this week that they are also expecting their second child. Their eldest and O are only 8 months apart and so close, and I’m really excited that my new little man will have a cousin who will only be a few months younger than him. I can only imagine the chaos when we have all four kids together!
And Lastly..
It’s a funny week, this second one in March. It’s a week that holds so many memories as something big quite often happens. Five years ago this week we found at we were expecting O and my nephew was born and one year ago we learnt our IVF attempt had failed, I wrote about that here if you want a read. For me I can’t help but look back and reflect on how much has changed in such a short amount of time.
Hope you’ve had a good week too, see you next Friday.
Sorry it’s been a tough week, must be hard and I think it’s normal to reflect on things.. I love your scarf! I’m on the hunt for some pretty ones to cover my scar on my neck so will have a look at Joules! G loves You’ve Been Framed, she always has, she calls it the funny show! Haha! Hope you have a wonderful week lovely

That scarf is lovely! Really nice. I haven’t watched You’ve Been Framed for years, although I can imagine my son would giggle away at it. I don’t really buy magazines myself very much either, if I read it tends to be a book, but they are nice to just sit down and flick through sometimes. #littleloves
So pleased this week has been better for you.
My girls love You’ve Been Framed too – it’s belly laugh central in our house on a Saturday night!
Loving your MAMA tee, I practically live in my Mother one!
Have a lovely weekend xx

I am a great lover of a magazine, tea and cake! Your right it’s sometimes lovely to be technology free.
I absolutely love your Joules scarf!
Have a lovely week. X
I definitely sometimes think I need to relax with a magazine rather than looking at my phone or laptop- I try to do it but I never seem to focus which is awful. I love the Mama tees, I got one but with a different saying for Mothers Day. I am saving it till after the baby is here. xx
