Happy Friday, it’s been a bit of a crazy week here kicked off with me doing the daftest thing I’ve probably ever done. On Saturday night we took the boys for an Indian and I somehow managed to leave my car keys in the ignition with lights on and radio blaring for a full two hours whilst we ate our meal. I’m a very lucky lady that my car was still there and that we had friends on hand to jump start my flat battery so we could all get home safely.
Read
I’ve been reading O’s reading book that he gets sent home from school. He gets a new one each week and we curl up on the couch to read it together. It’s lovely to see him do enthusiastic about school.
Watched
Oh my days, did you see Emmerdale last night? I won’t say what happened incase you’re planning to watch it over the weekend but what a shocker!
Made
A few changes to my blog layout. Actually I’ve gone for a whole new theme and I love it. Much simpler and just what I was looking for. Yay to finding the blog love again.
Wore
I did mention last week that I had bought something that was a little out of my comfort zone and it featured this week in a bit of a fashion post. My new fur gilet. Apart from wearing it on Saturday to take a few pics I haven’t actually worn it properly yet as its been too warm but I can’t wait for it to get cooler so it can have its first proper outing.
I did wear one of my denim dresses to Blog On on Sunday. I bought this not long after having G and at the time I couldn’t do it up so I was so excited to be able to wear it this week. It was perhaps a little on the tight side (Thank goodness for hold me in pants) but I love it and can’t wait to wear it more. I wore it with pumps on Sunday to make it more of a casual outfit but it looks lovely with a pair of wedge sandals too.
Heard
I heard some great speakers at Blog On and it was just what I needed to re-ignite my blog spark. The talks I went to were great but what was also just as good (if not better) was having the opportunityto sit and talk all things blogging with other bloggers. Let’s be honest, other people don’t always get it and I had a lovely day chatting with Hayley (Hayley From Home), Rachel (The Ordinary Lovely) and Tas (Not My Year Off). Last week I was all for packing it in but chatting with those wonderful ladies has really helped me to re focus and think about the direction I want my blog to go in. I’m actually excited about it for the first time in a long time.
And Lastly…
A year ago today we found out we were expecting G (I’ve written a post about it here) and what a year it has been. If you’ve been a long term reader of Not A Frumpy Mum you’love know it took us a long time to conceive our second child and the last year has gone so quickly it’s a little frightening. G is the most amazing little boy and has completed our little family in so many ways. My Littlest Little Love!
So pleased that you’re not packing it all in! I love your new theme, sometimes a bit of change, some inspiration and a good chat with fellow bloggers is the remedy we need.
The denim dress looks fab, the shape is gorgeous on you.
I’ll never forget reading your post announcing your pregnancy, I was SO happy for you. And just look at him now, what a cutie xx

It was the chatting to other bloggers that really helped and inspired me. I’m actually excited to be blogging again, the new look has helped too.
The dress is a lovely shape isn’t it? It was a lot looser on the model online but I think it looks better more fitted (that’s what I’m telling myself anyway)
I went back and re-read my announcing my pregnancy post yesterday and it still makes me cry now, feel very lucky to have G, our little chunky nugget. xx

Ah I’m so glad you didn’t pack it all in! I was the same about my blog to be honest – a huge mix of things made me want to stop. So instead, I started a new one and I really hope it’s going to be the kick up the bum that I needed. Gorgeous denim dress, you’re looking fab! x x

Thank you lovely. I considered starting a new one but didn’t fancy starting all over again. I do think they’ll be a bit of a change in direction though and that’s quite exciting for me.
Fab to see you joining in with Little Loves. xx

The blog looks great! Ah bless you with the car, totally something I could do. I don’t watch Emmerdale, but I did see the episode you were talking about, talk about moody! So sad. Love the dress xxx

I’m so lucky my car was still there, how do you explain that to an insurance company? I love Emmerdale and was so not expecting that. Shocked! xx

Love the new design and I am so glad you kept with it! Love your blog and would of been sorry to see you go if you decided to! I heard about Emmerdale, I watched it years ago when the young girl started her addiction and even that was traumatic viewing so I can’t imagine what it was like this week. I have to admit, Emmerdale really doesn’t get the praise it deserves!

Thank you lovely, I’m glad I’m sticking with it to. I think I’d miss it too much to give up now. I love Emmerdale, it’s my favourite soap, the only one I keep up to date with! xx

Thank you Rachel (although I did have hold me in pants on underneath). Thanks for all your advice and listening to my blog ramblings. Speaking to you has given me a lot more confidence to do a lot more of what I like with my blog and not what I feel I should be posting. I’m actually excited about my blog for the first time in quite a while which is a nice feeling. xx
