Where has the past week gone, it seems to have flown by! This week’s little loves have been:
Other than bedtime stories, I’ve not really read anything. The newspaper sat on the coffee table for 2 days without being touched. Looking forward to half term to catch up on some blog reading!
My little boy is a big fan of Tree Fu Tom and he’s getting the age where he’s starting to copy the moves Tom does “to turn the magic on” and it’s the cutest thing to watch.
My husband always jokes that I’m the last person to “get” a song and will start to like it usually after it’s been out for about 2 months. Despite hubby telling me about this song weeks ago it’s only now it’s grown on me and I’m loving the Clean Bandit song Rather Be. Just to show how out of touch I am I’ve been calling them Queen Bandit all week. Definitely not down the kids anymore!
I’ve actually put my chefs hat on quite a bit this week and made a chicken jalfrezi from scratch, a pea and ham soup in the slow cooker and a lemon and coconut cake. Unfortunately presentation is not my strong point so they don’t look the prettiest but they do taste good. Honestly!
With a dry day at last I got to put on my lovely warm mummy coat and head off to the park. It’s the cosiest coat I’ve ever owned, perfect for standing in the cold whilst little man goes down the slide, over and over again.
Sometimes you just have a day where everything goes as it should. For me, Thursday was that day. Me and O went to the local mums and tots group and then played on the park. Back home where he had a 2 hour nap and then lunch in our local toy shop. It has a cafe in the back with a small play area for the kids so I got to have a peaceful lunch whilst he played and even managed a second cup of coffee, totally unheard of! Lovely day spent with my son.
