Love The Little Things #49

It feels at the moment we are hurtling towards Christmas at top speed, which is great in one way as I can’t wait to be at home for the holidays but a bit scary as I still have lots of shopping to get done before then.

I’ve been feeling a bit up and down this week. We’ve had some lovely family time but I’ve been feeling a little bit down in the dumps and need to snap out of it. I think yesterday, spending the day with O, managed to do that and I’m feeling a lot better.

Read Some really lovely comments on a post I wrote this week, My Only Child? It was quite a personal one and a post I almost didn’t publish, but I needed to offload quite a few things that were whirling round in my head.

Watched Our village Christmas tree light switch on. It’s a tradition every year that we wrap up, try to listen to the primary school kids singing carols (you can never quite make out what they are trying to sing) and watch the lights come on. The local pub bring out hot mince pies and bags of sweets for the kids and then most people head across the pub for a drink afterwards.

Heard My little boy is a huge Miley Cyrus fan. Believe me, this is going to come back and haunt him when he’s 18. This week we have been doing a lot of dancing to Party In The USA, and O has even managed to learn a few words.

Made Thanks to a little tip off from Kerri-Ann over at Life As Our Little Family we headed off to a little cafe in Sale and made this little beauty to add to our Christmas decorations.

We also made this fab plate to out Father Christmas’s treats on on Christmas Eve.

Oh, and we went to visit another Father Christmas!

Wore Seeing as it is now December and the Christmas countdown is officially on it’s time for Christmas jumpers.

The green one may be saved for when I’m pottering around the house but I do love it!

And lastly…For the past few weeks it feels like I’ve been really struggling to keep up with all things blog related. Most evenings have been spent either writing posts or desperately trying to catch up on commenting. There’s a never-ending list of things I’d like to do that I never seem to find the time to do. On Wednesday I put it all away and sat and watched TV with no other distractions, and it felt good. Really good! So I think it may be time to take a bit of pressure off myself. I’m not sure I could stop blogging now, it’s become very much a part of me but I will be taking a step back, posting a little bit less and remembering why I started doing this to begin with.

Happy Friday lovelies, have a fantastic weekend and I will be here next week because this linky reminds me exactly why I started blogging. To remember all the wonderful ordinary things that happen that otherwise would be long forgotten by now!

How lovely are those baubles and that plate? So cute!
I know what you mean about the blogging thing. It’s so hard to find time for everything. I’ve led things slide a little with mine right now, but I’m not worried. It’s all about finding balance and not getting stressed out over it. I keep having to remind myself that I didn’t start blogging to get into the TOTS 100!! 😉 xx
