Love The Little Things #44

Thankfully this week has been a lot calmer than last and it has been lovely to have some time off with hubby and O.  We started the week with a few days away in not so sunny (in fact, ridiculously windy) North Wales but I actually quite like it when the weather is a bit crap as there’s something special about being all warm and cosy in a caravan whilst the weather outside is blowing a gale.

Read I’ve been trying to catch up on a bit of blog reading and commenting this week whilst I’ve had a bit more time and one of my fave post was by Heledd over at Running in Lavender, Child of the Eighties – My Christmas List.  As an 80’s girl I either had or desperately wanted at some point everything on the list.  I’m still a little bit scarred that I never got my own Teddy Ruxpin.

Watched We watched The Missing on Tuesday night which was so gripping but so hard to watch at the same time.  As a parent it really is your worst nightmare.  I’ve had a huge soft spot for James Nesbitt ever since his Cold Feet days so great to see him back.

Heard I’ve dug out my old iPod this week and been listening to a few oldies.  One song I’ve been loving this week is Embrace and Come Back To What You Know.  I’d completely forgotten about this song but it reminds me so much of my first year at uni when I listened to it constantly,  Such a fab song.

Made I made some honey and granola cupcakes as a bit of a healthy treat, plus they’re great for breakfast too.

Wore I’m struggling with this one a little bit this week as I’ve mostly been in my comfy gear whilst we’ve been in Wales and back home, which aren’t really anything to write about.  I have worn my new haircut (sorry, I know it’s lame) which you may have seen on Instagram yesterday.  The fringe is back for the winter, although the bob is a little bit shorter than I ideally wanted.

And lastly…Whilst I’ve been off this week I’ve been finishing off a few jobs that have been on the to-do list for far too long.  One of the jobs was to find a couple of photo frames for some postcards that I bought from Paperchase months ago.  This is one of my favourites.

Sums me and the hubby up perfectly.

Have a fabulous Halloween and enjoy the rest of the week!

Your granola muffins look so delicious Jo. Yum! Oh my goodness, wasn’t The Missing so gripping? It made me a bit edgy and panicky though – I’m already totally paranoid about counting heads when I am out with my three! 🙂 am interested to see how it all pans out. Have a great weekend sweetpea xx

A few folk have mentioned The Missing. I may just have to check it out. I actually quite fancy watching all of Cold Feet again. I loved that show! I’m on the hunt for a yummy, but healthier cupcake recipe for school lunchboxes, so will have a peek at yours. Have a great weekend x

We watched The Missing too. I’m sure it’s every parents worst fear, so although was amazing it was also rather traumatic to watch.
Love the Juicy Lucy postcard, we have a few of those too! xx
