Well, this really had been a week of mixed emotions. The weekend was great, I had a lovely day at Blogcamp on Saturday, meeting some lovely bloggers in the flesh, and then Sunday was spent pumpkin picking with the family followed by dinner at our gorgeous local.
Monday started with a crap day at work, and the week progressively got worse with a bit of a scary bump in my car on Wednesday and then whilst treating the little man to a McDonalds lunch we ended up with a dead bird under the next table! Believe me, the weekend (and half term) can’t come quick enough!
Read I managed to read my magazines on the train on the way down to Birmingham. Due to a slight wardrobe malfunction on Saturday morning I was cutting it a bit fine to catch my 7:39am train, but with a sprint through the station I made it with about 90 seconds to spare. That gave me just enough time to grab a coffee, and my breath back, so I could relax on the journey.
Watched Nothing too exciting, although I did enjoy Corrie this week waiting for the Peter Barlow verdict to come in. I have to admit I thought he was going to be found innocent. Last Sunday we recorded The Wolf Of Wall Street and are planning to watch that tonight so I’m hoping it’s good.
Heard Lots of great of great tips and advice about blogging in general from Blogcamp, but one of the highlights for me was the food photography session. I’m really trying to cook more things from scratch at home and to be honest, some of the photos I’d been taking weren’t too great, but the tips we got were fab and I’ve been putting them into practice.
Made I made my lemon meringue cake, which although looks a bit rustic, it really is lovely.
Can you tell these pics were taken before hearing the foodie pic tips?
Wore Last Sunday we all donned our wellies and went off on a pumpkin hunt. Big fields full of pumpkin on a lovely Autumn day. Pretty much perfect!
And lastly…I don’t normally finish with a quote but this week just feels like it needs it. I think I’ve been focusing too much on the negatives recently and it’s time to appreciate all the lovely things in my life.
So that was our week, I really can’t wait to have the next 9 days off with my little family. Hope you all have a lovely week!
Oh my goodness!! Sounds like you have had one hell of a week! Hope your ok, after the bump in the car?!?! The dead bird in Mcdonalds?!?! *grim* I don’t normally do Halloween, but I am so tempted to carve a pumpkin this year! I totally agree with that quote! Hope you have a relaxing weekend lovely xxx

Absolutely love that quote. So sad I missed out on BlogCamp I won’t miss next years. For some reason I see these events when it’s too late to go. I really need to make a calendar of all the events in the UK to keep track. I would have loved the food photography session. Where did you go for the pumpkin patch? I was looking for one for us to go and I know you live near me. lol Love a good patch on an Autumn day. Great #littleloves

Hello lovely, I love this quote and it’s something we’ve lived to since Lil G arrived. Knowing those first 12 hours may have been all we had! It’s a great quote. So, about your week bloody hell the car accident was a little scary wasn’t it, thank the lord for the Audi and thank goodness your little one didn’t really notice. Love the pumpkins, we’re going to pick one tomorrow, where did you go? Have a super duper 9 days with your family honey, I am so jealous, I have to keep going until the 18th Dec! Eek x

Happy half term! Oh Jo, I have saved your last post from this week to read over the weekend, and I totally didn’t realise you’d been in an accident! Hope you are ok luvvie! What a week! I hope that this weekend, and half term week are much more settled for you! Xxx
You have been busy, bless! I love the pumpkin field. I am going to have to google straight after this and see if we have one nearby. It looks fab!
I have seen The Wolf of Wall Street – it will be interesting to hear what you make of it….
I would love some photography tips – actually I keep reading great ones and then in the hustle and bustle of family life I end up snapping a fuzzy picture with a rubbish background. The hardest by far for me is action shots – blurry every time – I have got to figure this out!
Have a lovely, hopefully restful, weekend and half term x
