Happy Friday, how’s your week been? The past couple of weeks have flown by and I am very happy it’s the weekend! It’ll be February before we know it.
Read I saw this book pop up on Sian at Potty Mouthed Mummys Instagram at the weekend and I had to have it. It arrived on Wednesday and I have just started to read through it. It’s fab, and I think most of my weekend will be spent playing with the big camera and finally getting to grips with manual mode.
Watched I caught up with the first episode of the new series of Revenge and looking forward to watching the second on Saturday. Oh, how I want a holiday home in the Hamptons!
Heard O singing along to Frozen. I’m not sure if previously he was a bit young for it, but at the moment he is a bit of a Frozen obsessive and I have to admit quite enjoying cuddling up on the couch to watch it, especially while the weather has been a bit rubbish. He’s now started to learn the words and it is so cute to hear him singing along!
Made Hot chocolates with squirty cream and marshmallows. The perfect drink whilst your watching Frozen on a chilly Saturday afternoon.
Wore Nothing too exciting this week. I did get my gym gear on and went for a lunchtime spin class on Thursday after dropping O off at preschool. I have to admit I quite like having a few hours to myself on a Thursday afternoon.
And lastly…I guess we all have Blogging goals that we’d like to hit. One of mine was to make Mumsnet Blog Of The Day and this week it happened with this post.
I had some lovely comments from other parents who shared my concerns but there were also a few people who really didn’t like it. As someone who still keeps my little blog largely to myself it felt very strange to see people discussing something I’d written, and to see it being shared so many times. The blogging community is so supportive but when people outside of that read a post you are opening yourself up to criticism and that isn’t always easy to take.
So that was my week, have a lovely weekend, I’m keeping my fingers crossed for a bit of snow next week. Are you?
I’ve seen this book lots now and as I’ve recently bought myself a new big camera I think that this book should defo be my next purchase! Need to get to grips with it to take better product photos for my shop, my iphone just doesn’t cut it!
I’m so pleased you mentioned Revenge last week, I’ve now caught up and I love it. I totes want a holiday home in the Hamptons too, perhaps we can go halves..!! 😉
Have a lovely weekend xx

I’ve seen a lot of mention of that book (via Sian!) too and I want to the book *and* a DSLR camera now!! I think I’m going for a record of being the only family not to have seen Frozen for as long as possible! We are still Despicable Me obsessed over here (bit behind the times I know!). Congrats on your post getting all that exposure! Must be weird to have the pool of commentators opened up like that though, I can imagine. Have a fab weekend Jo Xx #littleloves

Everyone is making me want a dslr, and not just so I can buy that book! Congratulations on your post. I actually mentioned it in my ‘read’ section. I found it thought provoking… I think you do have to have tough skin if you want to be a ‘big’ blogger though, some people say some crazy things! Have a lovely weekend x
