Inspirational Women, Mean Girls & Early Mornings #LittleLoves

Last week it felt like I had so many decisions to make, it was actually starting to give me a headache.  Over the past few days I’ve tried to take a step back and look at the bigger picture and focus on what is important and it’s made me feel a lot better, and a lot calmer.  As I get older I realise I have a tendency to overthink things and it’s not doing any good at all.  So I am trying to relax and go with the flow a bit more. Let’s see how long it lasts.

It’s been an uneventful week, work, a bit of running, taking O swimming but there’s always time to focus on the positives.  Let’s  have a little look at this weeks little loves.

A couple of amazing and emotional posts this week from two very strong and inspirational ladies.  If you haven’t already read them, please pop over and take a look.

A little word of warning, you may want the tissues close by.

I watched Mean Girls for the first time in years last Saturday.  I’d downloaded it from Sky On Demand and when O had a nap on Saturday afternoon, I took the chance to watch it. I’d forgotten what a good film it was.

I’ve had some very interesting conversations with O this week, a lot that seemed to involve various parts of the male and female anatomy.  He’s at that age where we are needing to explain a few of the differences between men and women and I can’t help but giggle at the innocence of a 3 year old.

I’ve been making an effort to try and get up a little earlier than normal to avoid the last minute rushing around and stress in a morning. Those extra 15-20 minutes have made such a huge difference and I’ve even managed fo be early for work a couple of times!

We’ve also made the final payment on our summer holiday.  This time in 12 weeks we will be sitting in the Turkish sun, probably with a cocktail in my hand, chilling out. I can’t wait.

Green nail varnish, on O’s recommendation.  I’m not entirely convinced but it is a nice change from pink.

And Lastly…
Tomorrow is Blog On Mosi and I am so excited.  I was so nervous last year as it was my first blogging event but I am really looking forward to seeing a few familiar faces.

And best of all it’s a lovely long weekend, have a great Bank Holiday.

Can you believe Mean Girls is 11 years old? Shocking how time has passed! I loved it when I was younger! Loving your Mugs!! Its amazing how an extra 15-20 minutes gives you in the morning, I normally have an extra 10 minutes to chill before the madness of the school run! Have a wonderful weekend xx

Having a summer holiday to look forward to is such a lovely thing!

Even pre children I was an early riser – one day they will both sleep long enough that I can’t get up before them and it won’t be the middle of the night.

    Have a great weekend!

Think I’m the only person in the world who hasn’t seen Mean Girls, might see if I can find it on Netflix later now you’ve mentioned it. I’m rather jealous of your Turkey holiday, I spent loads of time there when I was younger and would love to go back. Have a great weekend! #littleloves

I daren’t read either of those posts now! I will read them though πŸ™‚ Oh how I love Mean Girls. Such a good film and I haven’t watched it in years…that definitely needs to be rectified. I’m heading to Blog On MOSI tomorrow, not really sure what to expect but I’m excited! I think O has great taste in nail colour – I always pick red but I really should branch out more, because it looks so cheery! I have to stop myself laughing when my 3 year old asks about anatomy! It’s brilliant!!! xx

I LOVE Mean Girls, such a great movie. It’s great finding films that you can enjoy no matter how many times you’ve seen them.
Good on you getting up earlier on work days, I used to do that and fell out of the habit. I really must start it up again, it really does help to get more organised.
Hope you’re having a lovely week xx
