Graduating, Whisbear and Good Hair Days #LittleLoves

I’m not too sure where the sun has gone but there is very little to be seen here today.  Sadly, the rain has returned which has made the past couple of days soggy ones.  The past week has been a really good one, it’s hard to pin down exactly why but it has been a lovely week.  Maybe it’s that G is settling himself into a little routine which makes it easier to plan what to do when as I can work around his nap and awake times.

After seeing an offer in Woman’s Own for a free sign-up free for Slimming World I have rejoined the class I started going to last year.  I lost around 10lbs in late August/September following the plan but then it all went out the window when I found out I was pregnant.  With just under 12 weeks until our holiday I wanted to lose a few pounds so that I wasn’t feeling self-conscious in the sun.  Anyway, the reason for the ramble is that I have been reading the Slimming World magazine this week to gather inspiration.

Watched

It was O’s graduation ceremony from pre school this week and it was lovely.  He received a medal and a photo of him in his graduation gown and cap.  I am so proud of him and very excited about him starting school in September.  I think he’s going to love it!

Made

I made a little purchase of the perfect notebook for me.  Tesco have a full range of this and I may have to go and get it all (despite not being back at work for months).

Wore

This was a big moment for me, I wore my pre-pregnancy jeans!  I’m slightly cheating as I have an elastic band to fasten the button to allow a little bit of room for comfort but I am still really chuffed.

They haven’t worn these yet but I have bought my boys matching outfits for when we are around the pool.  I can’t wait to see them in them.

Heard

My brother is notoriously late with presents and this week G’s present arrived, the Whisbear.  G loves the sound of hoovers, washing machines, hair dryers and such so I’m sure he will love this.  My husband already does!

  

I also heard the lady in Sainsburys asking me for ID this week to buy wine.  As a now 36 year old mother of two who was feeling her age this absolutely made my day!

And Lastly…

A couple of weeks ago I found out I was a runner up in the Tots100 Waterwipes Challenge competition with this post I wrote about meeting G for the first time.  I won £100 of John Lewis vouchers and after debating with hubby whether to treat the boys or get something for the house I eventually decided to spoil myself and I ordered a new pair of GHD straighteners to replace the ones that broke over two years ago.  My hair is loving them already!
