Oh, the past week has been a good week. You know one of those weeks when almost everything happens as it should and there are lots of things to make you smile. Maybe it’s something to do with the gorgeous weather we’ve been having, but there’s been lots to be happy about.
The in-laws asked if they could have O for a sleepover last Sunday so we may have taken the opportunity to go for a spot of child-free shopping which may have involved a trip to the pub on the way home. A glass of Pinot in the sunshine without having to keep an eye out for a cheeky 3 year old, heaven!
Anyways, without further ado lets look at the highlights.
Read
In a vague attempt to be more crafty I bought O a Mister Maker magazine and we have been reading and trying out some of the suggestions in it. If I ever wanted confirmation that I am lacking in artistic skills, this has proved it.
It may have fallen apart minutes after the photo was taken but we had a lovely afternoon making things (the others were too shoddy to even photo!)
Wore
The downside of the lovely weather is that I had packed most of my summer gear away so I’m trying to wear the cooler items of my Autumn wardrobe. Any excuse to wear a sparkly Breton.
You know when you hear a song that you had completely forgotten has existed, but it instantly takes you back to a place and time. I heard this song this week and was transported to a dodgy club in Hull in my uni days and couldn’t help but smile. Us students loved it at the time (we were so cool!).
Made
I made Slimming World raspberry and chocolate tiramisu on Friday, after having the biggest Slimming World burger for dinner. I’m still a bit amazed how much you can eat and still lose weight, definitely the diet for me.
The decorators were put back a week but the wallpaper is finally up and I am in love with it. Just so pretty.
Happy Friday, hope you have a lovely weekend. xx
That song takes me way back too!! Music is so funny that way.
The new wallpaper is gorgeous. Glad the diet is going well too lovely, you look fab. Love that top xx

LOVE the wallpaper, it’s beautiful!
My girls get really excited when they get magazines but they never seem to make anything from them, which I find odd. Though N now gets pre-teen girls magazines and it’s all about fashion and popstars these days!!
Adore that Boden top, you can’t go wrong with Breton stripes AND sparkles.
Enjoy the weekend lovely xx

Yay for child free shopping and pub trips. That song also remind me of student days… one particular night in the rather dark, underground club at our Union always springs to mind when I hear it. I do find music a very powerful way of reminiscing!
