Faux Leather, Family Meals & Life Changing Magic #LittleLoves

I can’t say I’m sad to see the back of January, it is probably my least favourite month, and I am so excited for what’s going to happen at the end of this month.  Disneyland Paris is only a couple of weeks away.  I have apologised to my husband in advance for the Minnie Mouse ears I will be purchasing as soon as we get there and wearing for our entire stay!

Read

I treated myself to a few new books from Amazon and this is the first one I have started to read.  When I return to work I am determined to be more focused on not saying Yes to too many things and ending up overwhelmed with things I don’t really want to do.  I’ve only just started it but will keep you updated how it’s going.

Watched

Nothing too exciting this week, although I did enjoy the last couple of episodes of Silent Witness.  It’s a program my parents got me into years ago, they have long since stopped watching but I was hooked.  I was shouting at the TV for the last few minutes of the final episode (if you watched it, you’ll know what I mean).

Made

We’ve been making some money this week having a clear out of G’s tiny baby clothes.  His bedroom is starting to resemble a jumble sale as he has that many outgrown clothes and we have been trying to declutter.  A lot has gone to charity and some of the nicer things we have been listing on eBay. Looking at the little chunkster now it’s hard to believe he fit into some of the tiny clothes.  I may have shed a few tears thinking packing them away.

This little jacket was O’s originally and I loved it, but you can’t hang on to everything, can you?

Wore

This week has been all about the faux leather.  In a moment of madness I tried on a pair of faux leather trousers in Next and surprised myself with how much I liked them.

I also treated myself to a new faux leather jacket this week and I love it.  I was a bit unsure in the shop and bought it so that I could try it out with other items in my wardrobe (please tell me I’m not the only person who does this).  After a day I was smitten and it is a keeper.

Heard
We’re still loving the Trolls soundtrack so here’s another one of my faves.

And Lastly…

We have a little family tradition that on the last Saturday of January we go to the same restaurant in Manchester (largely because they have 50% off food) and have been for years. This year was our first visit as a family of four. Eating out with two little people isn’t a relaxing experience in any way but I think that’s part of the fun.

I hope you’ve had a lovely week, see you next Friday. xx

I have had for years but the attic is bursting too. I have a box of clothes I’m keeping (first outfits and my favourites) but the rest has to go. xx

Love those faux leather trousers! They really suit you. I had such a hard time when we got rid of Meg and Eli’s baby clothes, trying to pick a few things that I wanted to keep…I’m a real hoarder so I would have kept everything if I could! Hope you had a great week x

I’m trying to have a clear out of my babies out grown clothes too. It’s so hard to find time to sort, sell online or donate.plus like you I struggle to want to part with some of them. Your meal out sounds lovely. Although eating out with two young children is never easy.

Those trousers look amazing on you – I dread to think what I’d look like in them, not that I’d even get them on one leg! How cute is that teeny jacket, almost makes me want to go dig out my little one’s baby clothes and have a look at them again. I’ve got that book, it’s one of those in a huge long list I haven’t got around to reaidng yet but sounds brilliant. Hope you’re having a great weekend x

Love those trousers. I have a really hard time getting rid of anything of Parker’s. We’d like a second baby one day, it’s hard to know what to keep and what to donate. I need to read that book! Enjoy your weekend xx

Love the jacket and the trousers! I really want to read that book too, must put it on my list. I’ve seen so many people talking about it that I feel I really ought to! Glad you enjoyed your traditional meal even if it wasn’t relaxing. At least it should get better over time! Hope you’re having a great weekend x #LittleLoves
