Easter Bonnets, Stretchy Dresses and Craig David #LittleLoves

Happy Good Friday, and hurrah for long weekends.  I have to admit I have been a bit of a grump this week, not really for any particular reason so I’m going to play the pregnant and hormonal card.  I’m feeling very sorry for my husband as he’s had to put up with me.  I think it may be a combination of generally feeling quite tired now and being more than ready to start maternity leave.  It’s the final push for exams coming up at school so it is our busiest time of the year.  14 days to go!

Read

I did make a start on the book I bought last week and treated myself to another new one from the charity books pile at work.  I’m hoping to have a chance to sit down and have a read before the baby arrives.  I also had a flick through the latest Mother and Baby magazine, and the new Jojo Maman Bebe catalogue came through the post too!

Watched

For the first time in a few years I watched the new series of One Born Every Minute.  I haven’t watched the last few series as it would really upset me watching new babies being born when we wanted a second so desperately.  This series was filmed at Liverpools Women Hospital, which was where we had to go for part of our IVF cycle, and the staff there really are lovely.  I may have had a little cry watching it.

Made

A rather feeble attempt at an Easter Bonnet.  It was knocked up in fifteen minutes and even I’m a little embarrassed by it, but O loved it and told me it was beautiful.  Oh to be four!

Wore

More stretchy dresses!  I lived in one pair of leggings and two pairs of jeans during my pregnancy with O, but I am loving dresses this time round.  I picked up this bargain in the Jojo Maman Bebe sale and it is fab.

I’ve taken the plunge and ordered some maternity dungarees this week which should be arriving any day now.  I asked my husband if he thought I could pull them off, he seemed to think I would be fine but then after thinking for a minute or two said, “Don’t take this the wrong way, but you’re not that tall, you might look a bit like a Oompa Loompa.”  I should know better than to ask his opinion.  Depending on how they look there may be a picture of them here next week (or they may have been sent back to the shop and I will never mention them again!)

Heard

A bit of Craig David, I loved him, and played his CD constantly.  Rewind was on the radio this week and I did have a good singalong and pretended I was 19 all over again.

And Lastly..

Our new pram arrived this week!  We weren’t going to buy one because we do have a pram, but it was one we were given when we had O and as fine as it was, it wasn’t what I would have ever chosen.  I spotted an amazing offer on Mamas and Papas website and after a bit of a panic when they sold out of the carrycot before we had ordered I did manage to track the same deal down elsewhere (actually it was £8 cheaper) and ordered quickly.

We’re got quite a chilled weekend planned, out with friends today and then we have a family meal on Sunday.  Hope you have a lovely Easter weekend and the Easter bunny makes a visit!

I never normally watch OBEM but ended up watching this weeks and enjoyed it. That dress is lovely on you, I think I wore more stretchy dresses in my second pregnancy they are so comfy aren’t they?
Have a lovely Easter weekend! Xx

It’s all about the comfort isn’t it?? Trousers always end up digging into my bump now so dresses are such a better option. xx

I watched OBEM too, brings it all back and always makes me super broody! I love your Easter bonnett attempt, luckily we got out of it again this year. Crafting is not my thing.

Looking lovely in your stretch dress, I think I lived in leggings and dresses when I was pregnant. Happy Easter, enjoy your weekend x

That dress looks gorgeous on you. Your hubby’s comment about the dungarees did make me laugh, although he is rather brave saying that to a pregnant woman!

Oh to be the age that I was when that Craig David song first came out! I’m loving the whole Craig David revival thing, although I’m not sure if it makes me feel young again or just plain old!

    Have a great weekend x

That pushchair is lovely – I had a play with one at the Baby Show last year. I think all pregnant women need dungarees – they’re to catch the baby aren’t they?! I did laugh at the Oompa Loompa comment though! hehe. Loving your bump, clingy dresses are definitely working for you! Have a wonderful easter x

You’re looking fab! Dresses look like a great idea-it was always leggings and maternity jeans for me but I may have to try some dresses this time round! I caught OBEM this week too I know how you feel about trying for a one time and we were only 10mths but felt like forever. Have a wonderful Easter weekend x

Absolutely love your pregnancy style! I lived in stretchy dresses and fitted clothes when I was pregnant with Liv – I loved my bump so much and I miss it desperately!
Beautiful pram choice too! Have a fab Easter break! xxx

Love the dress on you. We had a mamas and papas pram last time, I’ve gone for a mountain buggy this time although it is there city version, it look like it will be equally good off road. I love reading baby catelogues too! I’ve recorded OBEM but not found time to watch it yet. I’m sure I’ll cry too! x

You are looking absolutely gorgeous Jo. That bump is just lovely. And weirdly I religiously watched OBEM before I was pregnant and while I was pregnant with Mads but as soon as I had her I haven’t watched a single episode. It’s weird, I just don’t particularly want to watch it. I have no idea why! xx
