My Little Loves posts have been a bit hit and miss recently. I know I’ve said this before but the weeks are flying by so fast and before I know it’s Thursday and I tell myself I’ll put something together on Friday morning and it never quite happens. At the moment O is at pre school and G is having the mother of all naps so I have a bit of time to catch up on what we’ve been enjoying the past couple of weeks (slightly cheating I know).
Read
O has developed a love of dinosaurs at the minute so we have been reading The Ultimate Book of Dinosaurs. Well, when I say reading he flicks through the pages and gets me to try and pronounce their names.
Watched
Me and the boys had a little trip to the cinema last weekend to watch The Secret Life Of Pets. I’d promised O weeks ago we would go and watch it and I couldn’t let him down. G came with us and I popped him in the sling when we got there and he slept happily through the whole film.
I also went to watch O’s pre school sports day. Normally I would have to miss this sort of thing as I’d be working so it made it extra special. It was so cute to watch.
Made
We made our first family trip into Manchester (I know this is a bit of a lame one, sorry). We’d stayed quite local when we’ve all been out together but we headed to Spinningfields last Saturday afternoon and had a lovely meal in Neighbourhood. Both boys behaved perfectly and we had a fab time.
Wore
I have a bit of a thing for denim dresses at the minute and last Saturday was the perfect opportunity to wear my new pinafore from the Fat Face sale. I love that it can be dressed up or down and will also be great in winter with a jumper underneath.
Heard
G starting to make adorable little baby noises, especially when he’s smiling. It’s so lovely that he’s starting ti become more aware of his surroundings now and those gummy smiles just melt my heart.
And Lastly…
We’ve booked a holiday! I am so excited as I wasn’t expecting us to go away this year. It’s only a week in Spain in October but I can’t wait for us all to have a bit of family time together in the sun. As it’s October it won’t be scorching but the temperature is usually in the low 20’s where we’re going for that time of year, ideal for the two little ones. We haven’t told O yet as we only booked the flights last night but he will be delighted, he’s been asking when we’re going on holiday.
I hope you’ve had a lovely week enjoying the sunshine and fingers crossed it lasts a little while longer.
Ooh a little trip to Spain sounds perfect! G is just so gorgeous he is changing so fast. Have a lovely weekend xx

Well done on taking a baby to the cinema! I’m not that brave (I’ve not taken my three year old yet even). Love the sound of your family holiday. We are off away with my parents in October (only to the lakes) but it’s good to have something to look forward too. G is very cute.

Yay for booking holidays! I’ve got some exciting holiday news for next week’s post… I’m sat doing some blog reading just now as my hubs and O have gone to the cinema. I’ve not thought about taking Q with us – glad he slept through the whole film! x

Love that O makes you pronounce the dinosaur names. I remember N going through a dinosaur phase and she’d make sure fun of me if I mis-pronounced any!
We went to see the Secret Life of Pets too, the girls giggled all the way through. xx
