Dinosaurs, Dungarees & a Little Romance #LittleLoves

I love February half term!  The Christmas break is always so hectic and January is usually a busy month at work so it is always lovely to get to half term and have a chance to relax, made better as the promise of Spring is just around the corner.

I’m still failing a little with this one, there’s absolutely nothing that sticks out in my mind that I’ve read this week. Having O at home all week has kept me busy.

On Sunday morning I took O to watch The Good Dinosaur.  I loved the film but my goodness it’s a bit of a weepy.  Whilst admittedly I am very hormonal at the minute, I did cry full on tears about four times throughout the film, and came away thinking Arlo is a fantastic name for a little boy!

We have made a start on sorting the baby’s nursery.  He will be having what was my husbands study, but as he now has his garden office the room has been a dumping ground for the past twelve months.  We have had a bit of a clear out and ordered O some new furniture so that the nursery furniture can move rooms.  I’m feeling a lot more organised now, plus we have decided on our nursery theme so I have made a few purchases for the room too!

I bought myself a denim dungaree dress from Jojo Maman Bebe and I was unsure whether I liked it or whether it made me look a bit daft.  I wore it on Saturday and it is now my new favourite maternity item and I think it will be getting quite a lot more wear in the next few weeks.

I’ve also been trying to brighten up some of the more miserable days with a bit of bling.

I’m sure you saw the news on Sunday that a British band had died in a car accident in Sweden, they were a local band and one of the boys went to our school.  A really lovely boy and everyone at work is shocked and devastated.

This week this song has been heard a lot as there has been a campaign to get the single to number one in memory of the band and their manager.  The fact that is has been played so much and supported by so many people is testament to what lovely boys they were and how much potential they had.

And Lastly..

We generally don’t make a big deal of Valentines Day but when the in laws offered to have O for a sleepover on Sunday night we jumped at the chance to have a date.  We headed into Manchester for cocktails (Alchemist do a very nice Virgin Pornstar) and then for a meal in Neighbourhood.  The chocolate fondue dessert was so yummy!

I may have got treated to a beautiful bunch of flowers too.

Hope you’ve had a lovely half term, I’m off for a relaxing Mum To Be massage this morning (a Christmas treat from O), and I cat wait.  See you next Friday.

Those dungarees are gorgeous. We loved the good dinosaur and Z cried at the end. It’s such a lovely movie isn’t it? I was pregnant when Inside out came and I kept bawling at all the Bing Bong scenes!

I love your 2 necklaces in your pictures. I have never seen a scrabble tile one before and I love it, though would have to have T one lol. Sounds as if you had a good half term, and always great to sneak in a night out too. You must be fairly local to me as the band were from our neighbouring town. Such a loss and so sad for everybody that knew them #littleloves x

Love the necklace. Very impressed with you starting work on the nursery. I’ve bought curtain and wall stickers but so far no plans for when we will start painting it! I hope you had a good weekend x

Sounds like it’s all systems go on the baby prep front – so exciting. I love that dungaree dress, it’s great when you get something new and it quickly becomes a staple item.
Hope to see you linking up for Little Loves tomorrow xx
