Since starting blogging almost four years ago now I have taken part in various different linkys, but the only one that I have constantly returned to is this one, the Little Loves. Life is so busy right now but I love being able to sit down and reflect over the last week although I have to admit I am struggling with keeping all my balls in the air now. For that reason I have decided that I am going to join in with Little Loves on a fortnightly basis rather than weekly. I wouldn’t want to stop writing these posts but I know I can’t commit to the writing and commenting at the moment which isn’t fair to the others who are linking up. So my little loves are of what has happened over the past two weeks rather than seven days and our last fortnight has been a bit of a hectic one!
I went in to visit my new place of work this week so lots of reading up on how they work and getting my head around things. I am so excited to start and can’t wait for September.
The Handmaid’s Tale on Channel 4. This was one of my A-Level English Literature texts and I still have my battered, annotated copy somewhere in the house. I know the book inside out and I have loved seeing it brought to life. I did watch the film version when I was studying the novel and it was a disappointment but I have loved this adaptation so far.
I’m handing this one over to O because he made his own pizza. We were away in Windsor last weekend (more about that later on) and the hotel we were staying in had a children buffet which involved the kids making their own pizza. He loved it, getting to choose his own toppings, so not a veg in sight, and he kindly shared it with his brother afterwards!
If O claimed the made spot this week, G is having the wore section for himself as he has been wearing his first pair of shoes. They are absolutely adorable although don’t think he is overly keen on them! He is so close to walking, he just lacks the confidence to let go and be off by himself but we are expecting it any day now.
He has also been sporting his I Am 1 t-shirt as my little man turning one, how did that come around so quickly? We had such a lovely time celebrating and luckily the sun came out on his big day. Turns out this birthday business is a bit exhausting and he was fast asleep for half five on the day but I think that means he must have enjoyed his self!
I did manage to wear my new pink top a couple of times so I’m going to sneak it in here.
It has be the Manchester One Love concert of this one, how good was it?? I have to admit feeling very teary watching it but also so proud of how people had come together.
A few weeks ago I wrote that we had received a really exciting email and yesterday I was able to share that news, we have been asked to be Generation Graco ambassadors. Last weekend we went to Legoland in Windsor to meet the team and the other bloggers who were also member of the Generation Graco panel. It is my first time being a brand ambassador and I am still pinching myself that I was asked.
First job visits, first shoes, first birthdays and our first visit to LEGOLAND. It’s been a really exciting and hectic couple of weeks and we are looking forward to a much quieter weekend. I hope you have a lovely one.
