Organised Chaos? Or Do You Really Need To Organise Your Chaos?

When it comes to your home, you’re definitely going to have your own rhythm with how you do things. We all do. Because we’re creatures of habit. So we tend to live in ways that are most comfortable to us. This is very much the case when it comes to our homes. In fact, the way in which you organise your home will very much be within you. It’s probably predetermined. However, if you know that home organisation is not overly your strong point, you might admit that it’s affecting your quality of life. Because in the home, it’s one thing to have organised chaos – but quite the other to be living in way too much mess. So if you know that you really do need to organise your chaos, here’s how to do it.

Have A Huge Clear Out

To begin with, you just have to get stuck in to the big job. And yes, clearing away clutter can be a bit of a nightmare. But remember, you got yourself into this mess. It may take a while to do, but once you’ve had a huge clear out you are going to feel better for it. Because when your home is in order, your mind will feel clearer. And you’ll probably be able to move again!

Get Smarter With Your Storage

From here, you then need to make sure that you’re being smart about the storage you use. Look online for storage hacks for small spaces if you don’t have a lot of room. Or, if you can, try to get storage built in so that you know you have room to store everything you need.

Use Outside Help

Then, from here, you’ve also got the option of using external sources of storage too. if you know that you have things that you really don’t want to throw away, look into storage facilities that you can rent or hire. You may even be able to rent a garage off of somebody that has the space available. Or, if you have family or friends with extra space, they might be able to help you out with options here too.

Get Into A Routine

If you know that you’re going to struggle with this, then you need a routine. Some kind of system that you can go to for storing the things you need to put away. From your pantry to your laundry, if you have a routine, you may find this all easier to manage on a day to day basis.

Stay On Top Of Everything

And finally, if you want to make sure that everything stays organised, then you absolutely need to stay on top of it. It’s really not enough for you to have a huge tidying session and get it all under control, to then go back to how you were before. Because, guess what, the chaos will come back! So, you need to change your approach to home organisation and how you’re going to manage your mess! When you can manage this, you should find that your quality of life (and your home) improves!

My wardrobe has always been a complete mess haha. Clearing out and trying to make routines or systems have always only worked for a little while before the chaos has taken over again.

Great tips, all so very true. I have just had a huge clear-out here and I am off to get some more storage today, I don’t like chaos at all!
