We’ve been coming to Wales for around 8 years. We came when we were boyfriend and girlfriend, as a newly engaged and then newly married couple (we actually spent our honeymoon here) and now we head down as our little family of three.
My mum and dads caravan is in the most beautiful setting and I could sit and watch the view for hours.
For the past couple of years when we have been the weather has been terrible. Torrential rain and gale force winds make enjoying the beach and outdoors a little bit tricky. When we looked at the forecast for the past weekend it was mixed and changing on a daily basis. There was a chance of rain and what looked like a lot of cloud. Gosh, I’m talking about the weather a lot aren’t I? Anyway, the weather has been glorious and the result is we are having an amazing time.
Typically I left my big camera at home. It was sat on the dining room table and I even said to my husband, “Should we take it?” and then thought Nah, we won’t need it. I was so wrong, there have been so many beautiful pics to take, and I’ve had to make do with the iPhone, but it’s done a pretty good job.
Here’s a little of what we have been up to:
After four hours in the car O was ready to stretch his legs and have a play.
It was the first time he’d been brave enough to attempt the climbing wall, but he was soon a pro. Although the car mad little man soon wanted to be back behind the wheel!
I love being by the sea, I find it so relaxing.
Especially when you get these little visitors coming for their breakfast after you’ve just finished yours. Feeding the swans in your PJ’s is a lovely way to start your day.
We haven’t been to Abersoch for a couple of years and I’d forgotten how pretty it was.
With a perfect beach for sandcastle building/mountain making/black hole digging.
Sadly this bike wasn’t for sale but I need to be on the look out for one similar!
Luckily my husband managed to sweet talk us a table in a restaurant that was fully booked on a Monday night!
Whilst we’ve been here there have been lazy mornings, daily trips to the swimming pool and general family silliness. Some things that when work is involved you don’t always have the time for.
O loves being here just as much as we do and because it’s the summer hols, and because we have no where else to be, we’re staying again for another day. We may be home soon!
Gosh it look’s so beautiful!! And I love O’s face in all the pictures, he looks so so happy. Glad you had a scrumptious time xx
