Like most other parents it is part of our nightly routine to have a bedtime story.  O’s bookcase is full, but he often tends to prefer to have the same story read over and over.  I can now recite Rabbit’s Nap without the words and he knows most of Norman The Silly Slug just by looking at the pictures. I have to admit I love flowers. Not quite to the same extent that Elton John does, but I do  try to always have a few fresh ones in the house even if they are just a bunch of £1 daffodils from the supermarket. There’s something about seeing them that always makes me smile. Maybe it’s the teacher in me that made me jump at the chance to review Cambridge University Press’s Penpals At Home books. Or maybe it’s that I’m just a mum who is fully aware that my little man will be starting pre-school in a couple of months and the more I can do to help his progress the better. I was recently contacted by My 1st Years and asked if I would choose an item from their website to review. I was delighted to have been asked as they have some absolutely gorgeous personalised baby clothes, blankets and toys (and much more besides) with the added bonus that they can have your little ones name added to it.
