Wicked Uncle Toy Review

My little boy can be quite difficult to buy for.  He loves balls and cars and there’s only so many racing cars one little boy needs in his life (and that my house can hold).  I have to admit I sometimes struggle to come up with ideas of what to buy him that are a little bit different and I know that he will enjoy. When we were asked to review the Wicked Uncle website I was keen to see what made them stand out from the crowd in the toy buying business.  I’ve looked in the usual places and…

Trespass Chorley Waterproof Jacket Review

As O has got older I find myself spending more and more time outside.  My little boy just loves being in the open air, regardless of the weather.  When I was contacted by Trespass with the opportunity to review an item from their website I was excited and a little bit nervous at the same time. A New Italian Sunday – Bella Italia Review

As a family there is nothing we like more than eating out together and we are huge fans of Italian food.  I’ve written before how we have a bit of a tradition of Italian Sundays and when we were given the opportunity to review the newly refurbished Bella Italia in Didsbury it seemed only fitting that we should go on a Sunday.  My parents are huge Bella Italia fans but I have never been and was excited to see what it was they liked so much about the place. We arrived 10 minutes late for our 4:30pm booking, but were…

The Little Boy Who Lost His Name Book Review

Like most other parents it is part of our nightly routine to have a bedtime story.  O’s bookcase is full, but he often tends to prefer to have the same story read over and over.  I can now recite Rabbit’s Nap without the words and he knows most of Norman The Silly Slug just by looking at the pictures. New books make me happy and when we were contacted by the lovely people at Lost My Name about reviewing one of their books I was excited.  I had seen these online and they looked wonderful.  If you haven’t seen these…

An Early Mothers Day Treat

I have to admit I love flowers. Not quite to the same extent that Elton John does, but I do  try to always have a few fresh ones in the house even if they are just a bunch of £1 daffodils from the supermarket. There’s something about seeing them that always makes me smile. My husband is not really one for buying flowers, I’m struggling to remember the last bunch he bought me, so it’s usually a little treat I get for myself. Last week Debenhams Flowers contacted me and asked if they could send me one of their Mothers…
