Celebrating Mother’s Day with Blossoming Gifts

My mum has always been a keen decorator.  I don’t think there is a room in her house that lasts much longer than a year without getting a full revamp, my poor dad is constantly painting and papering.  The one constant in my old home though is flowers.  My mum will always have a couple of bunches of gorgeous flowers displayed, usually in the hall and in the back room. When it comes to Mother’s Day I tend to have two default presents, a few Clinique treats or a bunch of flowers.  Both of which are always a big hit…

Mother & Nature Outdoor Maternity Wear Review

After not spending a great deal on maternity wear the first time round I’ve been happy to treat myself a little more during my second pregnancy.  However, one item I was very reluctant to buy was a maternity coat.  I didn’t need one when I was expecting O as I was mostly pregnant during the Summer/Autumn months and that year we had a particularly warm October and I was more worried with finding a fan for my classroom than I was finding a winter coat. Cuddledry Apron Towel Review

When I was pregnant with O a Cuddledry towel was one of the items on my wish list.  I’d seen them on Dragons Den, I’d seen them in the shops and I loved the idea of them.  Unfortunately, as O was our first child and we needed to buy everything from scratch I couldn’t quite justify the cost when my mum had already stocked up on baby towels for our new arrival. Bathtime has always been a really important part of our bedtime routine, especially when O was a baby and we were trying to get him to sleep through…

Beating The January Blues – Blossoming Gifts Review

January is my least favourite month. After the excitement of Christmas, and the run up to it is always a busy time in our house with lots of November birthdays, January always feels like a bit of a let down.  The festive period is over, summer still seems so far away and as I leave the house and return from work in the dark it feels like I rarely see daylight. One of our January treats is that we always book a table at one of our favourite restaurants for the end of the month.  It gives us something to…

Blossoming Gifts Review

It’s not really a secret that I love having flowers in the house.  It’s usually my Thursday treat to myself to buy a bunch to brighten the house over the weekend.  I was recently contacted by Blossoming Gifts who asked if I would like to review one of their bouquets, it wasn’t an offer I had to think long about. I chose the beautiful fall bouquet as the colours were perfect for our living room and I really love berries in a bouquet.  They arrived in a large rectangular box which kept the flowers well packaged although a couple of the…
