The Bucket List {May}

How can it be time to write next months bucket list already, the past few weeks just flown by.  I’ve had mixed success with last months list.  I haven’t booked my spa day, turns out I’m not very good at scheduling myself some me time so that still needs to be done and I haven’t cleared the junk room, although that it on our list of things to do on the bank holiday weekend.

I have tried to spend more time reading and commenting on other blogs and it has been lovely to come across some blogs I haven’t read before although I could still try to do a bit more.  I have been making a much bigger effort to reply to comments on the blog but I am a little behind so need to catch up on the past weeks comments.  I’ve really enjoyed replying and it’s something I plan to keep doing.

I’m really pleased to be able to report I have lost a few inches and 4 pounds since I started exercising again and already feel a lot better about myself.  Oh, and I eventually cleaned my car (inside and out).  This was back in February’s list and I’ve only just got round to do it.  It’s so liberating not having a car full of wrappers, school stuff and various items from O’s wardrobe.

Moving on to this months list.  May is a crazy month here, it’s the final push with the kids at school and I start exam marking so there isn’t much spare time knocking around.  For that reason I’m going to keep my Bucket List fairly straightforward for this month.

1.  Keep on top of my marking.
For the next few weeks I will have marking coming out of my ears and in the past I have been known to get a little bit behind with it and then I’m on constant catch up. Not this year, I will be organised, I promise!

2. Get myself holiday ready.
At the end of May we are off to Spain for a few days to my in-laws villa and I need to get myself holiday ready. I have the misfortune of being blessed with my dads horrible feet and at the moment there is no way I would be seen in a pair of sandals and a bit of fake tan and a wax wouldn’t go amiss either.

3. Buy a travel bag
For the past few years we have borrowed our friends huge holdall when we’ve gone on holiday and it’s getting a bit embarrassing that we don’t have our own. I’ve spotted one I like, just need to get the order in.

4. Up the marathon training
I’ve signed up for a marathon at the end of September and I need to start upping my distances when I’m out for a run. I managed a 5k last Sunday morning but hoping to be closer to 10k by the time the month finishes.

5. Start reflexology
I’ve been reading a lot recently about how reflexology can aid fertility and a friend of mine in convinced it helped her conceive her son so I’m willing to give it a go. I’ve been having a Google and there are a few near me so why not? If nothing else it will be a relaxing hour.

There we go, my bucket list for May. I really hope I can hit all five this month.

Arghh that’s it I’m getting back on my (dusty) treadmill, reading through the Monthly Bucket list posts today seeing loads of people being good and exercising! I’ve had back problems for the last year, before that I was doing really well with running, now a speed walk is all I should do really so think I need to up that again!
I need to clean my car out desperately, the boys ate pasties and sausage rolls in the bag a few days ago….it’s a bit like there was a pastry snow storm in the back!

I really should have added marking to my bucket list but I decided it wasn’t achievable. Good luck with yours.

It is scary how fast the months are going this year!!
I really don’t like my feet being touched (or even looking at anyone else’s feet -except Boo’s) but I did try reflexology once and it was very relaxing, I hope it has the effect you want and you get a nice hour to relax too =)
