Love The Little Things #21

How gorgeous was the weather last weekend? It really makes a difference when the sun comes out, you can’t help but be in a happy mood and it’s led into a pretty fab week. The highlights are: Read Not that much to be honest, we’ve been outdoors most of the week, O sulks when we try to come in.  I have been reading my lovely Year 11’s yearbooks as they left this week.  I love the “awards” they do in there and whilst they won’t be funny to anyone who doesn’t know them they had me chuckling and what a lovely…

The Ordinary Moments – Thursdays

When I first went back to work after maternity leave I returned full time. As a teacher I thought it would be fine as you’re only ever a few weeks away from a holiday. After the fab highs of last week, this one had a lot to live up to, and to be honest it really hasn’t managed it.  It’s generally been a bit of a meh week, one of those you just get through, but there are holidays a coming so the next few weeks will be better. My classic moans are along the lines of: The other half isn’t romantic enough Why drive at 20mph in a 40 zone, at 8am in the morning! Work can be a bit shit at times Where would you even buy a fleece with owls on when you’re 40? (You know the ones, usually in red or blue, and not in any way a cool owls pattern) I’d…

Love The Little Things #19

Wow, what a fab week it has been. It kicked off in Manchester on Saturday celebrating a friends 40th with drinks followed by gorgeous food in Neighbourhood. We were there so long chatting and supping champagne (courtesy of the birthday girls husband) we got asked to leave as we had hogged the table too long and the next booking was now running 30 minutes late. Oops! Read The cocktail menu in Cloud 23. I started off with champagne tasters, followed by a fancy gin cocktail which I can’t remember the name of. I love the views of Manchester being up…
