8 reasons you will ALWAYS be late with a toddler!

I hate being late, hate it! This comes from my dad who will arrive anywhere at least 15 minutes ahead of schedule. Since having a child I have really had to learn to just roll with it and accept the inevitable, I will be late! To pretty much everything! Just a handful of the reasons why: 1. They will always do a poo just as you are about to leave the house. This is especially annoying in winter as once all layered up you then have to undress, change and then re-apply the coat, hat, scarf etc! Just as you…

The Ordinary Moments – Getting Away

This weekend has been our first visit of the summer season to my parents caravan in north Wales. A few minutes walk from the beach and a few minutes drive from some beautiful locations, it’s the perfect place to get away from it all. Love The Little Things #14

Today is the last day of school before the Easter hols. The Easter break is one of my faves, the weather is just staring to get better, it’s not as hectic as Xmas and we have the annual Good Friday meal with all best friends (plus an increasing number of kids). The old me allowed myself to be used by people I believed were my friends. I wouldn’t hear from them for months on end and then they’d be a phonecall because they were at a loose end. And stupidly I’d jump, whenever they rang. The old me felt a little lost. Whilst I believed I was happy, there was a little something missing. The old me did a very good job of hiding my emotions, never really saying how I was…

The Ordinary Moments – A Quiet Night In

For us this is a bit of a retro ordinary moment. Just over 4 years ago we moved into our dream house, in a gorgeous little village, pretty much equidistant between two lovely pubs. One is 1 min 13 seconds walk away (believe me, I’ve timed it!), the other only an additional 30 seconds. In our pre O days we would often pop to one of the pubs for a drink afterwork or a quick one after dinner. With a small child this became a thing of the past. Going out past 6pm is a luxury we’ve only just started…
