Beating The January Blues – Blossoming Gifts Review

January is my least favourite month. After the excitement of Christmas, and the run up to it is always a busy time in our house with lots of November birthdays, January always feels like a bit of a let down.  The festive period is over, summer still seems so far away and as I leave the house and return from work in the dark it feels like I rarely see daylight.

One of our January treats is that we always book a table at one of our favourite restaurants for the end of the month.  It gives us something to look forward to and as they have a 50% off food January sale we don’t feel too guilty spending the pennies.

When the lovely people at Blossoming Gifts contacted me and asked if they could send me one of their bouquets to help beat the January Blues I was delighted.  The days have been so grey and miserable, some beautiful flowers would be perfect for brightening up the house.

I was asked to choose from their Blue Flowers range and after some deliberation I opted for the Pavillion bouquet.  I was won over by the stunning lilac roses, they are one of my favourite flowers.  The colour is beautiful and I’m also a sucker for a lily or two.

They arrived in a large box that kept them well protected but also gave them enough room so they wouldn’t be squashed in transit.  There was moist tissue around the bottom of the flowers to keep them fresh whilst they were being delivered.  The smell when you opened up the box was gorgeous.

As they arrived last weekend when we had the little frosty spell I couldn’t resist taken them out for a photoshoot.  The lilac in the roses looked beautiful against the icy grass.

Obviously, the flowers couldn’t stay inside so they were brought in and put in my favourite spot in our fireplace.  The lilies took a few days to open up but they were stunning when they did.
