Positivity, Curly Hair & Raspberries #LittleLoves

Happy Friday, hope you’ve had a lovely week. It has been our first full week being back to normal after the Christmas hols and G has decided that he would much rather spend his evenings with mummy and daddy than alone in his bedroom. All my grand plans to spend my evenings on blogging have gone out of the window but I am enjoying lots of sleepy cuddles with my gorgeous boy so for now the bloggy stuff can take a back seat.

Read

Not that much but I did love this post on a positive mindset from Becky over at Spirited Puddle Jumper. I am really trying to focus on the positives this year and I loved what she said about parenting. For the past week when I have been with the boys I have been putting my phone away and not trying to do a load of household jobs too so my focus is entirely on them and it has made such a difference. Much less stressed mummy and happier boys.

Watched

I eventually caught up with the first episode of Sherlock and saw last Sunday’s episode, I love the twists and I never see them coming.

Made

I made home made fish fingers with O, so easy to make and they were lovely. I had planned to take a photo but then G woke up so that went out the window.

Wore

I’ve been wearing curls this week, actually for the past couple of weeks too. My mum and dad bought me a Babyliss Curl Secret for Christmas and it is brilliant.  I’ve always been a bit rubbish at curling my own hair but this is so easy.

Heard

Mostly G blowing raspberries, it’s his new favourite thing to do.

And Lastly…

Something that really made me smile this week was my mum digging out an old photo of my big brother sleeping when he was around 4 months old. He’s the spitting image of G, the exact same squishy faces. O is such a Daddy mini me it’s lovely to have G representing my side of the family.

*Sorry for the very blurry photo.

Have a lovely weekend and see you next Friday.

The curls look great! I have a Curl Secret somewhere but I have no idea where it’s got to since the house move…must dig it out. Very cute photo of the little raspberry-blower 🙂 Have a great weekend! #LittleLoves

Thank you, I’d had my eye on one for ages and then when my mum and dad asked me what I wanted for Christmas there was nothing else I wanted more. Love it! xx

Oh look at those curls they look amazing on you darling. I love the baby spam he is so so adorable. Raspberries were my fave stage with the kiddos. I love Becky’s post. I have been doing the same. I seem so chilled out and calmer even when things don’t get done that I have on my list whereas before I was always running around and stressed out. Life is too short and the kids are only young once for us to enjoy these moments with them. The dishes and to dos can’t wait. Hope you have a lovely weekend ahead. #littleloves

As I said before, I love your hair curled. It especially looks so nice against your faux fur gilet. Gorgeous. Does us mums good to spend a bit of time (and money!) on ourselves doesn’t it? We made home made fish fingers this week too…but they weren’t quite such a success as yours sound! xx

After writing the post he hasn’t done raspberries for a couple of days, too busy trying to put everything he can get his hands on into his mouth. No time for raspberries! xx

Oh, your curly hair looks lovely. I love curly hair but currently do it with my straighteners. Might have to look at getting some of these Babyliss ones. Gorgeous picture of your littlest. Enjoy your weekend xx

Love the curls, I keep meaning to learn to curl my own hair. I’ve been loving Sherlock too but I hate how short the series are and how long we have to wait for the next one! Have a great week x #LittleLoves

Gotta love baby raspberries, that and when they laugh are just adorable. I just watched a video of that curl secret thing – it sucks your hair in and curls it for you! I need one in my life! I can never curl my own hair and the teen always wants hers done so I may have to treat myself to one. I’ve never watched Sherlock – my teen was telling me how good it is last night – no idea how she started watching it when we don’t, might have to give it a watch and see what the hype’s about. Have a great weekend x

Definitely enjoy those baby snuggles while you can, my two don’t really do cuddles anymore and I really do miss it (although I do love my free evenings haha, you can never win!). Have a lovely weekend 🙂 xx

Your hair looks lovely curled. I have naturally straight hair but sometimes I think I should go for a different look. Home made fish fingers sounds lovely, and something I would never think to make. Infact I could just eat a posh fish finger butty now. Have a good week and enjoy the snuggles with the boys x

My hair is naturally really straight and oddly heavy so often curls just don’t last. They still fall a bit with this but last much longer than with anything else. xx

Oh I love your curls, I’m just rubbish at doing hair which is never good especially when I have two girls.

Home made fish fingers sounds delicious I keep meaning to make home made chicken nuggets but never seem to get around to it!

Thanks so much for sharing my post Jo 🙂 I really have found it has made such a difference to me, and I am trying to be mindful of it on a daily basis. Your hair looks LUSH, I am terrible with hair but am determined to master self-curling this year so it’s not just boring and straight all the time! #LittleLoves

You’re welcome Becky, I loved the post. My hair is almost always straight and I bore myself with it sometimes so nice to have the option to do something a little different. xx

Oh it’s so nice that G looks like your brother – I do love a good family resemblance! Your hair looks incredible – that photo could be a celebrity! I really should make things like homemade fish fingers and chicken nuggets more often x
