Love The Little Things #3

I’ve got to admit this hasn’t been a great week. Hubby has been working away or very long hours so it feels like I’ve barely seen him and Little O has been unwell too, so all in all a pretty shit week. But that’s why I love this Linky because it is going to make me focus on the good things of the week.

Read
Whilst working, running the house on my own and looking after a poorly boy I’ve barely had the time to read anything this week but one thing I did read was a very beautiful blog post by Katie at Hurrah For Gin. The post was called “I Will Never Leave You” and if you haven’t already head over and take a nosy. This does come with a warning, you will probably need a tissue handy!

Watched
Last week saw the return of the 3rd series of Revenge. A completely crackers, and OTT American show that I am totally addicted to. I’d recorded the first episode and sat down to watch it on Saturday night whilst hubby was out on the piss. It didn’t disappoint, and I can’t wait to watch episode 2.

Heard
On the radio this morning the Labrinth song Earthquake came on. Little O was delivered to that song, and it was playing in theatre as O was placed in my arms for the first time so I can’t help but be happy when I hear that song.

Made
Oh dear, absolutely nothing worth mentioning. Like I said it’s not been a good week, and at the moment I’ve got no appetite. However, tonight we are making a roast chicken so hoping a bit of comfort food (& wine) will help me regain my love for food.

Wore
I bought some lovely boots from Dune a couple of months ago but when I got them home I was a bit worried they were too orange. I’ve worn them quite a lot this week and have fallen in love with them. Love the colour and not too high a heel so very comfy.

And lastly…
I’ve just spent a lovely hour wallowing in the bath whilst the house has been empty. It’s been bliss. Now to head off and pick my little boy up from nursery, and let the weekend begin!

Sorry to hear that you’ve had a rubbish week. Bad combination of your husband being away and Little O being poorly. Hope O is feeling better now.
I love Revenge too, you are so right though, it is completely crackers! I’m looking forward to seeing where this season goes.
Hope your weekend is a lovely one! xx

I enjoyed this post, I think I’m going to do this too now 🙂 hopefully next week will be better for you, I always find that when I don’t have a bit of me time after a while I get really grumpy. Xxx
