It’s Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas #LittleLoves

We seem to have had a very Christmassey week and it has certainly got us in the festive mood.  Without further ado:

Read

We were kindly sent some Christmas Picture Books from Oxford University Press and we have been reading a different story each night this week.  I’ve loved reading them just as much as O, the illustrations are stunning, and I just love a hard back book.

Watched

The absolute highlight of my week was watching O in his very first nativity.  I was so proud, and completely welled up at one point.  He had one line and said it perfectly and with such confidence.  He can be quite timid at times but he was amazing!  I may have gone back the next day too just so I could watch him again!

Made

We’ve made a start on our Christmas decorations. The wreath is on the door and all the little knicks-knacks are out. I can’t wait to get the tree tomorrow!

Wore

Christmas PJ’S, a new bargain buy from Tesco.

Heard

Hot off the press, my husbands company won an award last night at their annual industry awards. He has worked so hard this year, and with a newborn in the house it hasn’t always been easy but it was nice that his (and his colleagues) hard work has been recognised.

And Lastly…

Last week you may have seen our (badly made) lantern for the village lantern walk. It was such a lovely event, over 300 people turned up and lots of children from O’s reception class were there and he loved walking with his best friend. Afterwards the reception mums went for a few drinks in one of our local pubs. It was lovely to get to know then a little better and to have gone to chat without rushing off home. A bit too much wine was drunk and last Saturday was my first hangover in about 18 months. I didn’t love that!

I’m off in to Manchester shortly to meet my award winning husband for hot chocolate and hot dogs at the markets. Have a lovely weekend!

That looks like a nice collection of winter themed books – my little one is loving the winter books from his book advent… Except now he is very much hoping for snow seen as it appears in nearly all of them!

I imagine the nativity was such a proud mummy moment, and the lantern walk sounds like it was a great success! Love the Christmas pjs!

    Have a lovely weekend 🙂

Congrats to your award winning husband! Glad you got to have a night out – not so pleased about the hangover! All feeling rather festive now isn’t it? I had a little. ‘Ahhhh’ moment when you mentioned the nativity. It seems a long time ago that I went to one of those. Lovely memories (mostly!). X
